We stayed as a couple at Banyan Hua Hin for three nights. We were a bit nervous due to the distance between the hotel and the beach/markets, however, the staff made travel to and from simple with the free shuttle running regularly and we did not use a taxi while there. The resort itself is fantastic, with nice gardens and views. The size and height of the rooms as well as the swimming facilities were a real highlight. We had breakfast and dinner there and both were great. The only downside was that the resort was a bit quiet during the week which took away from the atmosphere in the restaurant/bar, and the water pressure in the shower was very low.
If you're a tourist and into gardening, I strongly recommend taking a look at the small plant stalls all along the opposite side of the road, there were lots of exotic plants and flowers galore.
Centrally located, Baan Laksasubha is within walking distance (or short Tuk-Tuk ride) from most of the sites, shopping areas and restaurants. The staff was superb. They re-define the "Land of Smiles" to the "Land of GENUINE Smiles". Atmosphere is very peaceful, whether in the room, on the foot paths, or at the beach. The landscaping evokes the feeling of walking through a rain forest and frogs add sound effects after morning rains.
The beach area is very nice, but we were a bit disappointed that there was quite a bit of debris in the water (or on the ocean floor) during our wade out to deeper water. Also, had to be alert for jelly fish which we saw but, to our knowledge, no one was stung by jellyfish during our stay.
this is the best hotel I have had the pleasure of,everything worked for once, room was cleaned 3 times a day!!!,the Jacuzzi was brill, lovely hot shower, excellent hotel, drinks were pricey but I guess you have to pay for quality, the breakfast buffet was very good, hotel staff very attentive, one night i got ill & the hotel staff even gave me some of their own medicine to help me,would definitely stay again if I can afford it! the private beach was fab very clean & not a stray dog in sight.
We researched Black Lotus extensively and all reviews seemed to be of a very high standard however, we were not expecting it to be that good. Well I have to say that it was "That Good" and far exceeded our expectations. We arranged for the hotel to pick us up from the airport which was wonderful after such a long flight and would highly recommend this. After a great sleep we noticed that not very much sun came in around the pool and the hotel promptly moved us to another villa without hesitation. This was important to us as we came here just to relax by the pool, read and play scrabble as we had an exhausting year. The food was great and so reasonably priced and the cocktails were fabulous. We went into Hau Hin a few times and the hotel transport was great and sometimes we got a taxi back which was cheap. I would recommend going to the Cicada market which is all local handcrafts and a great food court. We only did one day trip that we booked with the hotel and went to Amphawa floating market and was a great day out. The guide who took us was just so good and made sure that we didn't miss anything. Overall, Black Lotus has to be the only place that you should stay, set in a pineapple plantation away from noise and yet so access able to everything and wonderful staff.
Our family stayed pool villa six nights on August. We spend comfortable all days. There are many cottages in like a monsoon forest. Room was separated living and bedroom, and small pool in outside.it was keeping privacy. My kids was swimming every morning, when he waking up. And WiFi was excellent, very strong. I did my job sometimes, this is very helpful for me.
Breakfast was good, Western, Asian also.
Main pool is big and clean, we did so much time in there, because not so many people anytime.
We went to Hua Hun downtown every night using hotel shuttle, there are so many fish restaurant.
So, overall is everything ok, we want to stay again.
Excellent services, helpful staff and good facilities. It has a big lagoon pool, beautiful landscaping, reasonable kids club with variety of activities. It is beside the beach, has spacious room, overall, it is excellent for family with children. Note: The hotel has connecting rooms, the twin room has 2 double beds, this allows for family with children to stay together, and space to move in the room. However, do take note the hotel does not have a lift, for elderly or those with difficulty climbing staircase, do book the room on the ground floor.

On the beach in the Gulf of Thailand, this new resort is less than eight km (five miles) from The Summer Palace and golf …More
Very good hotel. We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The room is large and clean. We spent our 2 days in the pool!
Anyway, the hotel is far from the town. Took 30 mins to the town.
Overall, we enjoyed the time there.
I booked using the Dusit Club package, which provided great value for money in terms of meaningful "free" extras (breakfast, Club snack & pre dinner drinks etc. The hotel facilities are top class, both the accommodation (room size, facilities, cleanliness), grounds are A++++ in terms of the view, landscaping, amazing pool area, proximity to the beach. It was like paradise.
The staff were informal, thoroughly friendly and professional to the holidaying traveller. Nothing was too much trouble and that was from every staff member from supervisers to gardeners.
The location Hua Hin is 2 hours drive from Bangkok and is a place for couples, families, business get aways. The area has lots of resorts, so there's plenty of tourists visible but with a complete absence of the glitz of Bangkok or Phuket. It seems a strong European, Thai and Asian holiday destination.
Plenty of typical Thailand tourist tours to experience, including both historic and natural attractions.
If you want a wonderfully relaxing hiliday in the best possible surroundings, then look no further. If you want boozy nightlife and girlie bars, go to Bangkok or Phuket.
*For these trips, trip savings is at least equal to the cost of the flight or hotel if booked separately. Note: For trips including flights, you will be charged by the airline for the flight, but your savings on the trip will equal the cost of the flight.
