Beautiful hotel in Florence. It's close to the train station in a quiet area. It's within walking distance to the piazzas, but it's a little bit of a walk, maybe an extra 10 mins walk.
Rooms are large, clean and ornate.
Great hotel especially for the price.
-Single biggest con of the hotel was the smell in our room. By day (shortly after the room was cleaned), it wreaked of popurri and air freshener that was overwhelming. By night after we came back from a day of exploring, the room smelled absolutely horrible (sparing the details, it smelled like someone spent a LOT of time in the bathroom, stinking up the whole room). We talked to the front desk twice about the smell, and both times we spoke to the night staff (since obviously we were out during the day) and they told us we would have to speak to the "main" daytime staff, which of course were on hand only when we were out. The nighttime staff was completely unable to help fix our situation or change our room, unless we came back to speak to the main staff midday.
-Our room was on the third "executive" floor, with no elevator (I don't recall reading this when I was booking). Not the end of the world (the front desk clerk was kind enough to help us with our luggage up during check in).
+Great location, and easy to navigate to major sites (Mercato Centrale, Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, etc.).
+Breakfast area was pleasant and breakfast spread nice, including eggs and cappuccino to order.
+Hotel attracts mostly couples and older adults, so the hotel was quiet.
+Played nice ambient jazz music in the hallways, which I could hear (very softly) in my room, which I thought was relaxing.
+High speed Wi-Fi included.

The hotel is located right in the centre of Florence within easy walking distance of all of the main sights. The old building has been renovated really nicely, the bedrooms aren't huge but are very comfortable & have everything you need. The staff are all really friendly & helpful, especially Fabian the bartender. Great breakfast for both choice & quality. Would definitely stay here again.
A beautiful boutique hotel. .loads of beautiful furnishings, art and antiques. Amazing buffet breakfast. .very unexpected. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a little something special for their Florence experience.
The staff were superb offering loads of advice regarding tours, restaurants and sites. A really comfortable hotel located just off centre but within 10 minds walking distance of all attractions. Great breakfast, comfortable and informal lounges that are lovely to relax in at any time of day or night. We had a great 6 night stay and plan to return.
Alberto on the front desk was superb to say the least, very welcoming and nothing is to much trouble should you require help. Anastasia and Raffarella also on front desk offered a great deal of help to my wife in contacting a store in Sienna with regard to a purchase. They ensured that the queary was dealt with quickly, then sorted out the problem themselves by getting in the hotel housekeeper. Train and bus schedules were printed off for us, as well as sites to see and tour booking. The Hotel is a beautiful Centuries old Building and is very well looked after. Rooms are superb, very well furnished and the bathroom spotless. The Hotel bar is very well stocked and prices that were cheaper than we thought they would be. Dining room is very good but only serves breakfast. However, the breakfast was first class, staff very attentive but without being at your table every second. Very Highly Recommended. We would stay there again without hesitation.
