"It was very quiet and peaceful at night and during the day as well. It was nice to have a dishwasher in a cabin. We drove to Grayson Highlands and hiked 2 different days. We went the 2nd day to see the ponies! The hot tub was very relaxing. It was also nice to sit out on the porch on the rocking chairs. "Cabin was clean and peaceful, although the drive up to the cabin was pretty steep and narrow (this is coming from someone who lives in a flat area!) The hot tub area was perfect with a huge hot tub & relaxing day bed. The shower was also great with good water pressure. "Neat cottage in the woods. Owners are on the property ( in another location) and very nice. Especially enjoyed relaxing on the back porch. A creek is on the property and can be heard from the porch. Perfect for the two of us. Enjoyed going to Sparta, never been there before. Close enough to a lot of places for hikes and antique hunting. "If you love peace and quiet, this cabin will be your happy spot. It's out of the way with its private slice of babbling creek, lush ferns, mosses, rocks, and birds. Very well appointed, clean as a whistle, and all wrapped in a wonderful porch. We ate lunch along the way at quaint 'Almost on the Lake' and did a simple pasta dinner and oatmeal breakfast for our one-day stay. "Cabin was clean and peaceful, although the drive up to the cabin was pretty steep and narrow (this is coming from someone who lives in a flat area!) I wasn't a big fan of the bed ...it was low & a little too soft for my back, but it definitely wasn't uncomfortable, just different from my firmer mattress. My husband and I really enjoyed the Angler Trail near the cabin that runs along the creek. Nature all around and very romantic atmosphere. Nearest town is about 10 minutes away and has all you need with several great restaurants. Several good state parks within 30-45 minutes, and the Virginia Creeper Trail bike ride was super fun!! Strongly recommended staying here and enjoying all the cabin & the area have to offer :)"
