I’ve stayed here twice now once in a studio and once in a 1 bedroom apartment (in hopes that it would be cleaner) but both of those are quite dirty with cockroaches. Doesn’t feel like anyone has deep cleaned that place in years but the prices are okay because it’s quite central but this place needs to be renovated! Check-in and staff was nice!

Hotel room did not appear as the photos, structure of room very dated with mould in bathroom. Bed was two singles pushed together to look like a double bed and were very uncomfortable with a very thin blanket and no extra blanket. Room advertised King bed!

PERFECT LOCATION WITH BEAUTIFUL SEA VIEWS
Beautiful recently renovated studio room with magnificent views of the ocean and surrounding buildings. The bed was so comfortable and the accommodation was very clean with everything you need. So convenient to the shops, restaurants, surf club and beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here again. Very happy. 10/10

First room we were given was run down and bathroom was in disrepair. Bed was comfortable. We were woken each day to drilling noise above us due to maintenance that we were not told about.After day 3 we asked to be moved. Room was nicer but bed was uncomfortable. Kitchen sink tap was falling off as there was mould n the shower. Pools were lovely although missing tiles in the heated pool and you can cut your feet. I think as all rooms are different, photos of each room should be on the website so you can see what you are getting. We probably would not stay here again.

Great review in the heart of surfers, room was very clean with great amenities and balcony overlooking the beach. It was a bit tired with broken shower rail and other minor damage however loved my stay staff great and price reasonable

We booked from hotels.com and selected pay on arrival as I couldn’t find my credit card but I got a phone call from a rather rude lady demanding payment before we arrived and asked for my credit card details. I told her I’m sorry I’m in a public space (having lunch in a pub) and don’t feel comfortable in giving my credit card details out in a public space. I was met with a rather rude well can you move to a quiet place to give me your details please. I told her no you can wait till I get in the car which I was told well we need payment before 2pm. To which I called her back once in the car. On arrival we were met with a very lovely lady and it was soon clear who the dude lady was. She was an older lady with no uniform on so guessing she was the manager so while checking in a guest came down asking for more toilet paper and she was told that woulda charge of $2 which I thought was crazy. The only thing this hotel has going for it is it’s local and I’d never stay here again, the room was nothing special a little dated. Old lady behind the counter get a personality, learn some people and if you hate your job retire.

Mr Schiffmann,Firstly, the policy of the hotel is, when Beachcomber receive a last minute booking to arrive on the same day without CC details it is reservations responsibility to contact the guest for those details before arrival. Unfortunately, due to a number last minute bookings with fraudulent CC details this policy must be adhered to. Secondly, the toilet paper issue, which you were not involved in, was resolved with the guest receiving the item.Thirdly, Did think society had moved on from age shaming but I guess not! Always good when I stay at Beachcomber. This is my second stay with my son. Best location with view and amenities. Good price for rooms. This is my preferred place to stay whilst in Gold Coast. Walking distance to beach, shopping and restaurants.
