"My partner and I absolutely loved The Crown House. I arrived first and got chatting to the young man who was checking us in, he was so lovely and helpful and gave me lots of information about the hotel, the village, the two pubs that served food and the area. He was very kind, in that when my partner arrived, we were able to buy drinks from the bar, once we’d settled in. The room was lovely and light. "It was perfect for the lone female business self employed traveller and had everything I needed , fridge, microwave. These were a godsend. Only thing I would change is the height of the basin and mirror in the bathroom . I’m a average height female at 5’ 4” and the basin and mirror are set at a 6’2” male I’m sure lol apart from that all good would definitely stay again :) "

"It as a beautiful 1400 Grade 1-listed building, which was great, but I had problems with the shower. In my initial room the water was lukewarm at best. I was moved to another where the water was hot but the shower was weak. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was good. They had soya milk for my coffee."

"Very close to A127 which is handy but it can also be noisy though not the Hotel's fault.Very close to large Retail Park (Pipps Hill) which is useful for food. Guests need to be reminded of the need not to slam doors at any time particularly at night, slightly annoying that parents allow their children to run around in the dining area. O therwise accomodation suitable for my needs. "
