"Great food. Loved the stairs! We were up on the top floor, so it was quite a workout. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The road was noisy, but—heck—it’s at a junction in the city centre, so . . . Not a fan of the Royalists, but hanging out where Charles I reportedly stayed was charming."

Sitting out overlooking the river was a delightful experience and belied the fact that we were within a few hundred yards of the town. We could have been deep in beautiful countryside. "We were greeted by Chris when we checked in after long day exploring Cotswold. We decided to stay in and booked a reservation for dinner. We had steak and Seabass and both meals were cooked to a perfection. All the courses were delicious from starter to dessert. The bed, bedding, linens, and soaps were luxury without loosing the characters of the house..and clean. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful. Thanks Desi, Chris and everyone (sorry, I forgot the name) so welcoming and helpful to make our stay memorable. Beautiful grounds and view from our room. We’ll definitely comeback again. "
