"Really lovely stay in this quiet little Oast House. We stayed in a round room, beautifully decorated with ensuite shower room. Tea and coffee and biscuits, TV in room. Plenty of drawers and cupboard space for clothes. Room clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely, and everyone was so friendly. We also had an excellent roast dinner on the Sunday. Just a short walk into Rye, which was a bonus. Would totally recommend it, and we hope to stay there again. "

"We’ve stayed at the Old Ship several times, as it tends to be the best value for money. We love the central sea front location (and are prepared to put up with a bit of city noise… the complimentary ear plugs are a nice touch), sea views are well worth paying a bit extra for, and we even enjoy the 100 year old lift …. on the occasional time it arrives before we opt for the stairs instead (it is described optimistically as ‘a bit slow’). Very pleasant staff too. Looking forward to our next stay. "

"Enjoyable nights stay in Brighton at The Oriental. Welcoming and friendly owners and staff who couldn't have done more to make you feel comfortable. Complimentary soft and hot drinks offered throughout our stay. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Service at breakfast was also very good. Will be happy to stay again. "

"The hotel was very good very clean and suitably situated for our weekend. Breakfast was excellent! The only bad point was that the swimming pool was closed all weekend and on the hottest weekend of the year and with 2 children it was a major issue! We would’ve stayed at a different hotel with a pool if we knew, the hotel should’ve emailed me before we got there to say but nothing was mentioned until I’d paid for our stay!"

"Well located for sea front, parking opposite (get a ticket at reception) could be limited in summer. Clean and nicely decorated in room, friendly staff, good variety for breakfast and tasty. Room was a little noisy from creaky floorboards in adjacent rooms and banging doors(shame)."
