"Well located and comfortable hotel. Caution though"
The hotel was in good condition. Yes, the walls are a little thin, but that goes with staying in Cusco. Not that big a deal. The room was comfortable. The first room we were given was too dark and claustrophobic. We asked to see another room which worked out great. Upstairs and had a view of the courtyard. We didn't spend much time in the room though. Water pressure was good, cold and hot worked well. The bed was firm and comfortable. Sheets were clean. Bathroom products were good. Hairdryer worked fine. Breakfast was very good. Omelette bar, juices, coffee, fruit, meats, breads all were well presented and tasty. All of the staff I had contact with spoke English well. Location was near Plaza de Armes for easy walk. Laundry at the hotel is VERY expensive. Find a lavenderia to do your laundry by the kilogram(rather than by each piece of clothing). A hotel staff member offered to drop our laundry at lavenderia next door. Estimated that we had 4kilos at 6soles per kilo. When we went to pick up, the woman said we had eight kilos at 12soles per kilo. When we insisted on weighing the laundry, it was only 4.2kilos. She rounded up to 5kilos at 12soles per kilo. We settled on 50soles after complaining and negotiating. Bottom line-watch them weigh it and agree on price ahead of time and write it down. Same happened arranging Sacred Valley tour. Most places charge 20-35soles, but staff member called "a friend" for us who showed up and wanted $35dollars(that's ~105soles!)

"Comfortable, well located hotel."
Only sticky issue was the hotel's recommendation of a tour guide to see four sites immediately outside Cusco. We felt that it was overpriced at $90 considering what we paid today for a personal guide for all of Machu Picchu - $50.

"Different impressions"
We stayed a total of five nights, separated into three different rooms. Hotel service and amenities outstanding. Rooms are dark but luxurious. One of our rooms was beautiful in all ways but last night we were in a small, dark and clearly lower value room. Overall hotel is very good. Staff terrific.

"Fantastic service, Quirky hotel rooms"
We had just returned from a 5 day trek, tired, dirty and a little grumpy. Geraint and the team were exceptional, they lifted our spirits immediately. As a hospitality professional I was impressed with the level of customer service I received from every employee I interacted with. The food was delicious & they have the best passion fruit Mojito's in Peru. If you are looking for a quirky hotel & great service I highly recommend the Fallen Angel.

"Culturally interesting hotel near historical plaza"
Stayed here two occasions during recent trip to Peru. Rooms are simple, comfortable, and varied in their layout. One member in our party found room to smell musty on second visit and was given another room which was fine. Three other rooms (one this time and two the first visit) were fine. It did take long time to shower water to warm up in one of the rooms. Common areas (outside courtyard and inside reception, bar, restaurant, and morning breakfast area) all inviting with reflections of local culture. Food good to very good. First visit we walked to the near-by plaza where we observed young people dancing as part of a festival. On return visit there was also dancing in the plaza as part of a different celebration. Local opera singers perform in restaurant on some evenings.

"Nice location at the main plaza"
We were picked up by the friendly staff one block away since the plaza was crowded by the parade celebration. We loved the location that is center for every activities during the festivals. Very good restaurants near by. We very much appreciate the hospitality of the staff. We would go back again.
