However, the place needs a really good clean - staircase carpets filthy, laundry lying around, corridor cluttered. Only 1 staff at breakfast - supplies lacking and empty. Cooked breakfast good though."

Lovely welcome and check-in spoiled by an older lady I believe called Nicola (that’s what came up on the digital till when I purchased a drink later in the evening) who involved herself unnecessarily in the check-in process. "Probably the best place I’ve stayed in a long time. The food at the pub is first class and home cooked, non of the usual pub clone food. The room was immaculate and very comfortable, bed was great and the shower was fantastic. Thoroughly recommend this place, I’ll be back. "

"All the staff at the Anglers Arms were lovely, they couldn’t do enough for you. All the food we had (3 breakfasts &. 1 dinner) was very good. The hotel is in need of some modernisation but we know that Joanne and the team are working on this, given a little time they will get everything right but in the meantime it is still a good place to stay and excellent value."
