"Gorgeous, historic property with comfortable rooms. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. A daily breakfast buffet that offers something for everyone in a beautiful setting. Gardens are the best Carmel has to offer. Two features that need improvement: please offer “real” in room coffee - not instant powdered stuff!! And please provide instruction in operation of in room temperature controls - hard to use this! Thanks for a lovely stay in a sublime hotel."

"The Pine Inn was in a great location in Carmel. Easy to walk to the beach and around the cute downtown. The staff were very friendly. No elevator, so you better be able to do stairs and carry belongings up and down them. Parking was easy. Loved staying at the Pine Inn."

"The Carmel Beach Hotel is the very nicely refurbished/updated Colonial Terrace Hotel. We have stayed in the old property and now the new one. We really enjoyed our stay, the place has been very nicely updated. Outstanding location 1 block from the beautiful Carmel beach. We chose a room on San Antonio and had a small terrace with a clear ocean view. Excellent! "Great little quiet place to stay without being very far at all from all the Carmel highlights. It's an older facility, but charming. If you have difficulty with uneven surfaces, you may want to look elsewhere."

"The outside of the property is quite lovely, having lots of plants and the site is very clean. We arrived late, so didn't check in with the front desk. Instead they left a sealed envelope on the door, telling us where to locate the key to our room. The bathrooms are updated and nice. I would recommend taking out the carpet in the living areas and replace with laminate, wood, or other non-carpet option. I personally feel the carpeting is very hard to keep clean and makes the room look...
