"Stayed here 2/19/24 through 2/21. Location and property are absolutely beautiful, but unwalkable from downtown Franschhoek, so you'll need a rental car or us their recommended taxi service via Whatsapp if you plan to drink lots of wine. Uber was not reliable in this area. The staff were very nice and the breakfast options were good, but limited. I would highly recommend this location. "

"La Cle is a stunning property with incredible grounds, attentive staff, fantastic breakfast and well-appointed rooms. We had a fantastic stay for our honeymoon and the properties private yet central location in Franschhoek was ideal for walking to restaurants, wine tram etc. Our room was clean comfortable and very nicely designed. Highly recommend and hope to revisit!"

The hotel is advertised to include air conditioning. Internet access, wifi, bar fridge. My room had none of these, it also had no TV. "I loved the historical building. The loft rooms were trendy and nicely decorated. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Could have been a bit more attention to detail, like marks on the couch cushions that could have been cleaned off. There is no parking if you come in a vehicle and we had to leave our car in the street which we weren't very happy about. There was a guard there and the car was fine though."
