As a nation we often find reason to complain regarding our hotels and B&B's. But this establishment is one we should all aspire to and if you find much better then let me know.
I wish the relative bodies that govern the levels of price and quality got their act together they may endorse more establishments like the Alpine Lodge and use this as a yard stick for a nationwide standard that should be everyone's expectation.
Well done you and we will be back again for sure.
NB: We were asked to provide a review. Expedia's questions assume it is a hotel. It Is clearly not but take note Hoteliers.... You've got a long way to better this standard.
This hotel was perfect for us, lots of cosy places to chat, have a drink or bar meal, we even had a pub quiz on the sunday evening in the bar which was great. The breakfast was excellent All staff very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable, We will definitely be here again.
Arrived early morning after long flight from australia and were told that a room would be ready soon for us and in the meantime to have a complimentary breakfast while we waited. The dining room staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was to your satisfaction. Many thanks to the managers Owen and Nicola who made our stay so enjoyable. We would definetly stay here again.
From the start to leaving the Hotel we felt at ease with the very friendly owners and staff. The beer was great, evening meal was excellent and the breakfast was of quality food. A nice touch in the bedroom was a glass of sherry and a sweet. Well done for making our experience very enjoyable. Peter & Maureen

Nestling in the Peak District National Park, with breathtaking views, the Stanley Arms is ideal for discerning guests …More
The welcome was warm and genuine, the room was really comfortable, no airs and graces, but you can tell a lot of thought and care has been taken to ensure guests have everything that is needed. Very comfortable bed and pillows etc. We slept very soundly. Chinley is not a regular tourist trap, just a chilled village. The cooked breakfast was excellent and we got to choose exactly what went into it (so no wastage!). The coffee was excellent. We had a couple of meals in the Old Hall Inn during our stay. They surpassed expectations of pub food. The menu has nothing fancy on it, just excellent fresh ingredients. Steak was perfectly cooked. Fish and Chips included very fresh haddock and crisp and crunchy batter. Great selection of ale, great service.
A nice little haven as a stop over before we got to Buxton for our main stay. Although our room wasn't ready on arrival at 4p.m. we felt relaxed straight away and enjoyed a nice drink in the friendly pub. We ate at the pub - The pate starter was a little on the small side but all the same very nice and the main of steak and kidney pudding more than made up for the small portion. Breakfast was lovely and definitely a full english. Would recommend to anybody who wants a quiet quant stay.
We spent two nights at Rushop Hall. We stayed in the house and had the Needham room. It was very comfortable, nice comfy bed, lovely hot shower with nice soft white towels! Jan and Neil made our stay very pleasant and were excellent hosts. They served a very nice wholesome breakfast and couldn't do enough for us. I would definitely recommend this B & B. It is in a very quite area and ideal if you just want time to chill out or spend your time walking.
Probably the best B&B we've staid at! Plenty of places - pubs & chippies - serving excellent fare.
Tideswell quite, but having the feel of a 'lived in' village. Centrally placed giving easy access to both White & Dark Peak areas of Derbyshire.
We'll certainly be back!
