"Staying at Madison’s Mountain Retreat was the perfect getaway and experience for my family. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the grounds. Anne’s warm welcome and knowledge about the animals was excellent and we all enjoyed feeding the Alpacas, Llamas & Goats. The indoor pool was great for a quick swim & we felt nice and cosy in the rustic cabin accommodation which had a lovely view of the alpacas and farm. We will definitely be back. "

"This cottage is the perfect weekend getaway to stay at in the season of autumn. We had everything we needed and more, Olwen and her family were lovely and responded quickly to communication. We even had left behind items arranged to be picked up in Sydney thanks to her kindness. A must stay cottage if you are travelling to the mountains this year!"

"Cute and cosy little cottage with old worldly charm. It felt like we had stepped back in time. I loved the artworks on the walls. Was a bit dusty but the Bathroom is new and immaculately clean. The beds were so comfortable and the heaters and fireplace were amazing! My only issue was it was listed as 4 bedrooms but is only 3 with the 3rd bed being a pull out sofa lounge in the lounge room. I would stay there again and I’d recommend to others but I’d make them aware that it’s only a 3 bedder."

"I rate this property highly but it’s in no way luxurious so don’t be fooled by the rating. The property was very clean inside and well equipped. Two bedrooms weren’t huge with no wardrobes. The a/c fan is extremely noisy. Sounds like a bike idling. Furnishings are quite sparse but adequate. Entry was quite dirty with bags of linen left all weekend for pickup. The garden needs a really good trim as it’s quite dark in the house. Lawn needed a mow. In saying all that, I would still stay again....

"A great place to stay with all amenities provided. Central Blue Mountains so everything is easy access and Leura is probably the nicest town there."

Beautiful comfy and warm bed😴 The Patio is just delightful and we were honoured that Cocoa made a visit🐈‍⬛🐾 We were able to BBQ, EVEN with the rain and cold! "Blackheath is one of our favourite parts of the Mountains and we enjoyed our few days in the cottage. It is close to great walks and shops. We loved the leafy secure front and back yards for our dog and kids to enjoy. Hosts easy to communicate with and we appreciated the later check-out. Wifi worked well too! Sweeping views of the hills, cosy fireplace with plenty of fire wood, plenty of space, lovely cottage garden and lawn, great location, friendly and kind hosts who were very responsive, and a very friendly sheep called Flossy! You can tell that a lot of effort has gone into creating a perfect stay and it has paid off. We’ll be back."

"This nice cottage is perfect for a Blue Mountain get-away. 2 minute walk to town of Leura. 7 minute drive to Scenic World. Quick access to Katoomba and other nearby towns. Plenty of dining and shopping options. House is comfortable and relaxing. Enjoy your stay as we did ours!"

"I can’t be more impressed and satisfied with Josephine’s Cottage! The host is so friendly, helpful and informative. The interior is so clean and comfy, exactly like what you see in the photos. The location is perfect with a lake and bushwalk nearby. It’s also within close driving range to Leura, Katoomba and Blue Mountains National Park. "Hotel location is excellent, receptionist was very friendly, apartment was spacious and very very clean. Looks like it has just been renovated. I would have given it a 5 stars if the shower screen over the bath tubs is a bit wider so that the water not splash out to the floor. Anyway I would stay again next time."

Loft safe and easy to use, other features like dining table beautifully executed. Great communication with the host, photos accurate online, very reasonable cost. We will definitely be back!"
