Nice hotel, easy to spot with its raspberry walls. Staff very polite and helpful. I got a triple room for one so very pleased to have the spaciousness. Downside was that it was downstairs in the basement, so a spiral legbreaker staircase had to be coped with, and wifi was very patchy down there (better near the bed or upstairs in the breakfast room). All facilities excellent. 24 hour reception, location ideal. Tiny bit noisy because people walking by and hanging around outside the hotel but not too bad. Recommended.

Old building, horrible bed , actually there’s no bed but a little layer of bed topper keeps sliding, I been giving a single bed but it was kind of kids bed I doubt that was an adult one and the pillows were sad, stiff and high and not even so hard to sleep on them, I talked to the manager and he said “ he would reduce the filling “ make worse. It was unpleasant experience over all. The quality of the bedding wasn’t great too. Poor and shabby wasn’t able to sleep when people on top floor using the toilet because of the noise of the water from the roof. NEVER AGAIN IN THAT HOTEL.

I had no drawbacks, however it should be noted that at least my room did not have air conditioning. Important in summer. You can hear through the walls and they certainly hear you, I don't care.

The location was excellent, close to transport and 10 minutes walk from both the museums and the canal ring. The room was small, basic but very clean. Staff very helpful. Pub opposite was noisy on the first night (football match?) and staff immediately offered to move us to another room. Very good for a budget hotel.

Very nice front desk staff however the hotel was sweltering hot with no air conditioner. It was extremely uncomfortable , the temperatures outside were 88 degrees. Also the rooms are very tiny and the bathroom was even tinier - towels not so clean- had to ask for replacements. Great location though, very lively and easy to get around. Spend a little more money and get better accommodations!

The room smelled of dirty socks, a curtain was missing so we couldn’t get the room completely dark, there was no double glazing at the front so the cafe opposite was noisy. The room had cheap, dark furniture in it, all very depressing. This place could be amazing if they spent a bit of money on it. It’s very overpriced for what it is, I’m sure there are better hotels for the same money.

Excellent staff and service. Bkf was ok. Unfortunately we were at the hotel during record hi temperatures and lack of aircon was a problem. At least some relief on two nights where by 11p could get some relief from open windows

The bed was very comfy! Loved the addition of a fan to keep us cool. The staff was super friendly and we appreciated that we were allowed to keep our luggage there the morning we checked out while we explored before our flight. My only wish was that they had conditioner with the shampoo (very minor). We loved our stay!

The front of house staff were very helpful and friendly and the location was excellent, within walking distance of main attractions. Our room was in the basement, felt a bit like a dungeon, not a lot of light coming in, only one tiny single wardrobe, no draws so had to leave clothes lying around the room. Didn't spend much to much time in the hotel and came in late in the evening, it was very noisy late at night, clearly no sound proofing. Given the price we paid, did expect a higher standard.

Bathroom has strong stale water/mildew smell. Had to leave bathroom fan on all night to reduce smell. Room 26 - at least avoid this room. Noisy hotel. Train/Bus noise. 5 steps up to hotel lobby from street and no bell boy. The service could have been better. I guessed I booked this because my previous option was not available.

Run down, wouldn't recommend
Good location within walking distance to the tram/bus, Jordaan neighborhood, and main shopping streets. Far enough away from the busiest parts of Amsterdam to avoid some of the nightlife noise. We booked the Basic Double Room, 1 Double Bedroom and were put in the basement. The bathroom shower has large spots of mold on the ceiling, the bathroom door didn't close properly, and overall the hotel felt dirty. The hotel guests in the next room liked to party so the whole basement smelled like weed and I didn't want to open a window being on the ground floor. You can hear everything going on in the hallway so don't expect much privacy. Breakfast options were bread, cold cuts, yogurt, eggs. None of it was very good. We are a couple in our 30s who try to keep our accommodation costs low, but this is a little too "budget" for us. Hotel felt like a hostel with my own bathroom. I would compare the hotel to motel quality in the USA.

The stay was good. Hotel is 6-7 min away from the tram which is acceptable. The room is a little bit small but it is acceptable for 1-2 night stays. Toilet is clean. The staff is kind and helpful. The WiFi was a little bit bad in my room because I had w far room. However the connection was okay in the lobby. The breakfast is good.
