Lots has been written about this hotel. It is all correct. The hotel had arranged for our pick up at Amalfi harbour at 03.00am after we left a party in Capri still at full swing, and we were whisked straight up to the Rosa Suite which is split on 22 levels and overlooks the beautiful blue sea. Nothing was missing, and the staff had even laid out a late night supper of Italian delicacies to welcome us. We only spent 2 nights and lazed by the pool most of the time, but we were definitely looked after as well as anywhere in the world. We ate at the lovely restaurant and watched the full moon reflect in the water far below. All-in-all it is an old world version of the Burj Al Arab (and without the gold and glitz) and definitely a place we will return to one day.

There is no signage for the hotel and the access driveway is hairy to say the least. Once there, ditch the car. Restaurant on site is expensive and short on choice. Eat at the hotel next door for good food, extensive menu and reasonable prices. Access to the sea is by a couple of hundred steps and no beach.

We debated about renting a villa higher up the town but, decided to go with the Covo. Boy, are we glad we did! The Covo has the best location in Positano for getting around combined with an amazing view. The hotel is classically Mediterranean and the food is excellent (best pizza we had in Italy).

Although the B and B is up above the town, we loved the location. It gave us the opportunity to feel the back alleys where the towns people live. We laughed every time we climbed the 350+ stairs and were grateful that it gave us the opportunity to eat more of the amazing food and not feel nearly as guilty.
Tiziana and Antonio were very helpful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our room, Diana.

My wife and I stayed in the hotel with our baby son. The hotel is impeccable - it's perched high above the Mediterranean with amazing views of the water and the City of Amalfi. The room was spacious and very well maintained, we used room service a lot - the dinner on balcony is amazing.

Excellent hotel and the staff were always friendly and ready to help. Food in the hotel was great too. Only disappointment was our air con stopped working one night and they were unable to reset it from their computer system until the next day.

The Palumbo Hotel is an enchanting masterpiece. Every minute is a feast for the senses. The decor was superb and the staff was very accommodating.
It is in a very good location, and there is a charming little cafe next door.
I would definetely return to this hotel if I am lucky enough to go back to Ravello some day.
