Although the B and B is up above the town, we loved the location. It gave us the opportunity to feel the back alleys where the towns people live. We laughed every time we climbed the 350+ stairs and were grateful that it gave us the opportunity to eat more of the amazing food and not feel nearly as guilty.
Tiziana and Antonio were very helpful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our room, Diana.

Staff Excellent service as expected from a 5 star hotel.
Hotel Condition Excellent: Detail oriented designer. Everything is put together nicely to the dot.
Room size was adequate. Washroom was a little smaller. Shower was slim size could be an issue for big people.
Dinner: Excellent EXCEPT: People are allowed to smoke on the patio. So every meal you get tastes like cigarette. This is more of a European problem. They haven't caught on that second hand smoking is a serious problem yet. Perhaps we are spoiled in North America where smokers have to smoke on the sidewalk. For a such forward thinking, modern hotel one would think they ask guests not too smoke around people that are eating.
Overall I think its a 5 out of 5. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels around the world, and I rarely give a 5 out of 5. I think at high level this hotel knows what they are doing and treats its guests very well from the minute you walk in. The size of the hotel is also smaller with a handful of rooms so you feel more exclusive.

Lots has been written about this hotel. It is all correct. The hotel had arranged for our pick up at Amalfi harbour at 03.00am after we left a party in Capri still at full swing, and we were whisked straight up to the Rosa Suite which is split on 22 levels and overlooks the beautiful blue sea. Nothing was missing, and the staff had even laid out a late night supper of Italian delicacies to welcome us. We only spent 2 nights and lazed by the pool most of the time, but we were definitely looked after as well as anywhere in the world. We ate at the lovely restaurant and watched the full moon reflect in the water far below. All-in-all it is an old world version of the Burj Al Arab (and without the gold and glitz) and definitely a place we will return to one day.

Hotel Santa Caterina is a special place. The hotel property is beautiful - situated on a cliff and surrounded by gorgeous gardens. Pool and ocean area (spectacular) are a fun elevator ride down side of cliff. Food at Mare restaurant and buffet breakfast excellent - ate there multiple times and was always pleased. Staff at hotel very helpful - we had an extremely early checkout (before 5am) and they thoughtfully prepared a bag of snacks for us to take on the road.

Excellent hotel and the staff were always friendly and ready to help. Food in the hotel was great too. Only disappointment was our air con stopped working one night and they were unable to reset it from their computer system until the next day.

Loved this hotel. Our room was sparse, could have been updated but spacious and bathroom nice. Staff was wonderful, helpful but the best part was the setting and views - so beautiful, the hotel lobbies, walkways canopied in flowers. Our room opened up to a large stone patio with a beautiful view of the Amalfi and the sea. Ate at the restaurant which was expensive and the food not very good but the view and setting were spectacular!

The Palumbo Hotel is an enchanting masterpiece. Every minute is a feast for the senses. The decor was superb and the staff was very accommodating.
It is in a very good location, and there is a charming little cafe next door.
I would definetely return to this hotel if I am lucky enough to go back to Ravello some day.
