Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Stayed in the hillside section which has its own pool and restaurant. The beach-side section also has its own pool and restaurant with beautiful views of the beach and sea. The additional cost of living beach-side is not worth the extra expense. The hill-side rooms are excellent; good size rooms and a very large bathroom. The balcony is spacious and provided glimpses of the sea and pool.
The reception staff were very helpful and promptly dealt with any request. The housekeeping girls were very friendly and did everything with a smile. The buffet breakfast was very good and would satisfy most people except for the whinging brigade that are never happy.
The hotel is located about a fifteen minute walk to the main Chaweng Beach area. Baht buses are frequent but in the daytime a pleasant walk along the beach is very enjoyable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again
We (2 couples) stayed at this property from 3 Oct to 11 Oct 2014. This hotel met all our criteria - great rooms, right on the beach, infinity type pool and located next to the main market place. Both of our rooms were big, had electronic controls, 42 inch plasma, bathroom with Jacuzzi and great comfy bed that was serviced by great staff. Both front desk girls (Tai & Oun) were very helpful and the travel agent (Gam) was fantastic. I even like to recommend the concierge (both Chan & Toto) for recommending places to visit (do's n don'ts), giving us updates on the weather etc. One tip for fellow travelers - hire the motorbike/scooters from the hotel as they won't keep your passport as a bond.
It had a lovely pool, cleaned daily, and very short walk to the beach and great internet. Bed was a bit hard for us, and the kitchen could have done with a few more utensils like microwave and toaster but other than that sunshine residences was great. People must check in at milky bay resort, you can't find sunshine residences on your own. Great place to have a few friends stay at as I can sleep 4 comfortably.
Check in went well with no fuss. Hotel is close to restaurants and nightlife. The only down side is the aeroplanes flying over but I guess that is to be expected on a small island. Overall a great stay.

Bandara Resort and Spa Bophut Koh Samui is only 20 minutes or so from the airport... so very is convenient.
I was warmly welcomed and given the opportunity to upgrade to a villa with a pool. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The amenities are very good and the chef will cater for dietary concerns. There is an excellent breakfast selection. The beach has lovely sand and the water clear.
The spa is well appointed and the treatments I had were of an excellent Australian standard. The gardens are beautiful and the pools well maintained. It is also close to the Fisherman's Village and other resorts. I went on an elephant ride which was a wonderful experience.
I would definitely return...

Had a great stay here. We stayed on the garden side of the resort. Staff were great, great breakfast although the bacon could have been adept a bit warmer. The resort is quite near the flight path for the airport but we didn't really find it an issue, certainly in the room the noise was negligible. On the subject of noise we did get woken up at 5am by a rooster in the block next door where they are building and I assume the rooster belonged to the workers living on site. I visited the local hardware store and bought some door sealing tape and this combined with a rolled up towel at the bottom of the door fixed the the rooster problem !
Getting around is easy enough with taxis and the pickup trucks readily available on the main road.
It's an easy walk down to the beach where there are plenty of places to eat also.
I think we were there in shoulder season so there was plenty of space around the pools without hundreds of screaming kids which suited our group
I believe the resort is to be closed soon from renovation, although I must say that I have stayed in places that are in much greater need of maintenance.
All in all an enjoyable stay.
My husband and I just returned from staying at the Peace Resort and were so so so very happy! We initially booked for 2 nights just incase we wernt happy and could look around and change whilst there. The moment we walked into the resort we were so impressed! The staff are ever so friendly and the bungalows are amazing! We stayed in the Superior Bungalow which is the cheapest and it was amazing. My husband and I have high expectations anyway but this was so good for such little cost. The gardens are imaculate and the walk to our bungalow was just beautiful. The free buffet breakfast was just delicious and a different selection of food daily :-) the view from the restaurant is just breathtaking and the pool and the lounging area couldnt have been any better! I would recommend the resort to anyone and we cannot wait to take our 3 kids next time. We went in the second week of October and it only rained twice for about 10 minutes, the rest of the time it was sunny and warm :-) Whats even better is the walk to fishermans village where the restaurants and markets are was only 10 minutes walk along the beach :-) We ate at the more expensive places most nights but on the last night we thought we would try a restaurant up one of the alleys and it was the best meal of the whole week and for a quarter of the price! Cant wait to go back. Love the Thai people they are so happy and friendly. Peace Resort has 5 stars from us :-)
