Busy, bustling, great city. Beautiful buildings, lovely, friendly people. I was there a week on my own ( female ) and found lots to do and felt very safe. Cheaper than I was expecting. I bought a 7 day ticket at the airport for 4950 HUF (£14.00ish ) which covered me for all public transport - HEV train, trams, metro and bus. I used it to do my own hop on / off tour! Easy to find your way around with a good map. Lots of places to eat, reasonably priced. Walking the best way to not miss anything but quite tiring. Tourist Information Kiosks all very helpful. Loved it all.

Breakfast was good, the restaurant excellent and the bar, run by excellent staff was great. The hotel is only 2 years old, in quiet neighbourhood, rooms exceptionally clean tidy and very comfortable.

I'm not one for writing lengthy reviews but after staying at Apartment Buda Central Residence, I thought that this place deserves one.
Me and a friend arrived on a Thursday for a five night stay and were greeted by Christian, a very friendly guy who showed us to the apartment we would be staying in. He gave us a full tour of the apartment, which was immaculately clean and had a fully functional kitchen with fridge / freezer, cooker, utensils, cutlery and even a coffee maker with coffee and sugar provided, which was a nice touch!
He provided us with a map and had taken the time to mark out all the tram / metro / bus lines that would take us around to the various attractions.
After inquiring about a travel pass, he came with us and showed us were to buy a pass and what one to get. He was very helpful indeed and took out all the hassle of how to get around on the first day of arriving, which made the trip more enjoyable.
The actual apartment is located in a quiet residential area and there's an amazing cafe just on the corner called 'Art Tranzit Cafe'.
All the main place like Heroes Square are a 5 minute tram ride away, so the location is perfect as it's just far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of the touristy bits.
This place can't come more highly recommended, so it's well worth a stay.

Paprika Apartman is in a fantastic location with easy walking to much of the central city. If you can't walk, it is located adjacent to trams lines and subway. The place was comfortable, efficient, well stocked with a great lay out. The wifi was great and it was represented well.
