Unique Sleeps: Sri Panwa Phuket
You don’t have to go far in Phuket to find a five star hotel, so how does a property stand out among the crowd? Think big – Sri Panwa Phuket occupies the entire Panwa peninsula. The suites and villas are sprawled out along 40 acres of tropical jungle, manicured gardens, pools, rooftop bars and restaurants all overlooking the Andaman Sea.
The family owned resort takes luxury to new levels, especially when it comes to its villas. Each with their own 12 metre infinity pool, these villas have terraces, outdoor baths, Jacuzzis and up to five bedrooms. You’ll be calling them your home away from home in no time.
You don’t go to Thailand without wanting to taste the local cuisine. The resort’s heart is Baba, a unique restaurant concept that’s divided into five sections. Learn how to whip up local specialties at Baba Hotpot, the onsite cooking school, spend the day at Baba PoolClub’s 25 metre pool, and end the evening upstairs at Baba Nest, the famous rooftop bar that’s surrounded by a 360 degree infinity pool. You will never ever go hungry or thirsty here.
The resort’s Cool Spa is making a name for itself, offering traditional and more innovative treatments. Start off your session with a scrub made using ingredients grown in the hotel’s gardens before trying a Blood Type treatment, with oils and massage techniques chosen based around your blood type. If more traditional Thai massages are more your style, treatment rooms look straight out at the ocean, or there’s the floating yoga deck for early morning sessions. Then there’s always the Thai boxing ring if you’d like an introduction to the national sport. Post treatment, or workout, the infinity pool awaits.
If all that isn’t enough, check into the resort’s new precinct, The Habita. More rooms, more restaurants and more pools to play with!
