Unique Sleeps: Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort
Unique Sleeps: Amazing hotels hand picked by Expedia Experts. The Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort.
Bigger is better in Bali. That’s apparently the case when you look at the latest luxury hotels popping up around town. Especially in Nusa Dua. The Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua has a whopping 415 rooms and around 700 staff to look after all those guests. When you drive through the gated community of Nusa Dua it’s hard to get a sense of the scale of this 4 1/2 star hotel but as soon as you walk in the enormous double doors, you know what’s in store. The hotel’s elevated main entrance sits on the top floor of a giant complex, with a large spiralling staircase leading down to two levels to the ground floor. Look straight ahead and you’ll see the ocean beyond but it’s a speck on the horizon. In between is one very big pool, winding through the resort, past ground floor rooms with ladders leading straight into the water, out to several larger pools in the main chill out zone. Just like the lobby and the pool, the rooms are big, with high ceilings, balconies, hanging chairs, big bath tubs – you get the gist, they’re big. The enormous buffet, Kwee-Zeen, restaurant, has everything from a juice bar where you pick your own fruit to get pulped, a sashimi station and in-house bakery to a wok stop, steak grill and dessert bar. There’s a ball pit and pint-sized tables in the kids area, along with gluten free animal crackers and other allergen-free options.
After breakfast, work up an appetite for lunch in the FIT gym or bliss out in the So Spa. If you need a bit of extra assistance, the Vietura Bali anti-aging clinic offers detox diets, life coaching and aesthetic procedures.
There really is something for everyone at this new Sofitel.
