The room and public space was nice and clean. Rooms were spacious. Staff was helpful. I used the coffee/pastry bar for breakfast so cannot comment on full breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was just where I wanted to be. I did have to change my room after the first night because I was about two feet from the train tracks, on the same level - 2nd floor. Quite noisy at night. I changed to a room on the other side of the hotel and had no problems with noise.

Nice well located one bedroom right on Dupont Circle. Excellent location for restaurants, small boutiques, and the like. Subway is located right by the property. The elevator is over 100 years old and can be tenuous at times to use. If you stay there, you must be able to walk the stairs in the event. The elevator gets stuck for is not working. There is a nice area on the second floor where guest can congregate and just relax. Be wary that certain rooms do not have windows or if they do their quite high, we had that problem when we got placed on our first unit on the fourth floor. I am referring to the old building. Avoid staying on the fourth floor. We were then moved to a better accommodation on the third floor. Inez was extraordinarily helpful and we truly appreciated the fact that she expedited the move to the better unit with more windows and a better location. The other benefit was that we had less stairs to walk in the event, the antiquated elevator wasn’t working properly. Next time that I go to Washington DC, I’d likely stay here, but I would request a unit on the third floor or in the new building.
