qualia is one of the most beautiful properties we have visited. The setting, architecture, views, and atmosphere truly feel special and uniquely Australian. Our arrival experience was excellent. Noemi provided a warm airport pickup, smooth check-in, and a thoughtful overview of the property and room. The accommodations themselves were stunning. We also had an incredible “Best of Both Worlds” tour with Pedro, who was engaging, knowledgeable, and passionate about the island. It was one of the highlights of the trip. The main challenge during the first 24 hours was inconsistency in service attentiveness. At times, particularly at the pool and during our first dinner at Long Pavilion, service felt less proactive than expected for a property at this level. Drink refills, reservation follow-up, and simple check-ins occasionally required prompting rather than feeling naturally anticipated. What truly elevated the experience was the response from leadership. Rebecca, the General Manager, was exceptional: thoughtful, responsive, attentive, and genuinely interested in feedback. Her professionalism and accountability significantly improved the remainder of our stay. Beach Club dinner was another standout, with warm staff, relaxed pacing, and beautifully prepared food and cocktails. Overall, qualia delivers an extraordinary setting and many memorable moments. Loved the location and the facilities! The welcome snacks in the fridge were so appreciated! I was very happy with my stay and and the view was gorgeous.

Lovely infinity pool. Shame it’s not heated. This the jewel in the crown. Nice enough apartment. Could do with more glasses but actually the kitchen is quite decent. Bathroom needs a deep clean and the balcony door could be more secure. Would recommend and stay again though, although it’s quite pricey compared to some other nearby blocks.

Our stay was just ok. The trash was still full and in the kitchen from the previous guest, there were dead roaches, there were dirty popsicle sticks by the pool. The coffee machine didn’t work either. A staff member did drop a different one by after I let them know. We also had the doorbell ring at 2am and wake everyone in the house… apparently this is common when the batteries run low? Seems like they should be routinely changed to prevent that from occurring. None of these issues are big, but combined are quite a few blunders considering we paid top dollar to stay here.

Beautiful location. Very helpful staff and excellent twice daily yoga sessions. If you’re coming here to have an active break it’s probably not the place as there are very limited options. Kayaking & SUP available and one bush trail up the hill. Food was excellent ! Not really the place for a solo traveller. Rooms not cleaned particularly well. Thick dust on top of air con unit and dead bugs around every day in room which came through the rafters. Didn’t bother me but probably would for other guests Very expensive transfers to get to the Island. All in all, perfect for 2 nights but 5 was too many.
