This is not downtown, but it is a good location that splits the difference between the airport and CBD. I walk, and it’s an easy (but longish) walk to the city center. Bus service is also frequent, and there is direct service to both the CBD and airport. It’s super clean, super quiet, and very comfy. It has a kitchenette. It’s overall a great spot.

I couldn't imagine a better place to stay. It had all of the advantages of an apartment rental, with none of the awkwardness of renting from an individual. The Kilmore Collection is owned by The George, the adjacent boutique hotel, and staff at The George are on hand to check in and out and assist with anything else. The townhouse was a gorgeous two story flat, very comfortable and spacious. And the location was perfect.

Hotel is nice and clean. We have the ocean view rooms but blocked by trees :( as our rooms are on the 2nd floor. Car park is small and we could not find any parking lot. We parked outside and Kaikōura is relatively safe. Kaikōura is nice and scenic
