I’ve stayed at The Shade many times and have always appreciated the staff and service., The SeaLevel Restaurant is always great, with particular shout out to Trent who always provides attentive personable service! Parking team is also on it!

If you are headed to Santa Monica/LA this is definitely the place to stay. It is reasonably priced, the staff is incredibly friendly, the amenities are so nice, the food at the restaurant is to die for but most importantly everything is CLEAN! It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed at a hotel that hits all of the important factors in a stay. I have absolutely no complaints about the property and my entire stay. I highly recommend and ocean view room, the views are incredible! You almost don’t ever have to leave the hotel! The pool is beautiful, the restaurant is open for all 3 meals, and you have everything you could need. Our stay included access to bikes at no additional cost which was also really cool! Could not recommend this hotel more, you won’t be disappointed!
