If you are looking for a relaxing holiday then this will suit you. The staff were all superb, friendly, helpful and genuinely nice. The main building, reception/ restaurant area is well maintained. The resort had snorkels, paddle boards and life jackets - all of which I used and were great to use to break up the day. The walks around the island are really nice and not too strenuous. We stayed in the Ocean View Bure which now doesn’t really resemble the photo/s on the website. There is no t.v, radio, wall unit, rug and the bed is now mattress and base. There is a safe but we couldn’t locate the key. Further to that there is quite a few broken floor tiles which were spoken of in previous reviews, the bathroom door sticks on the floor and one of the floor tiles can be fully removed. The room was tidy and cleanish. On day 1 after having a shower (shower head is poor) I used the floor towel to wipe up water on the floor and the towel came up with really dirty marks where I wiped. The decking around the outside of the room when wet is dangerous. The dirt and grime from the overarching trees and plants on the decking has formed like a sleet that when wet is really slippery. I slipped on a few occasion's. Overall, the venue and equipment needs an investment in maintenance.

Our stay was just ok. The trash was still full and in the kitchen from the previous guest, there were dead roaches, there were dirty popsicle sticks by the pool. The coffee machine didn’t work either. A staff member did drop a different one by after I let them know. We also had the doorbell ring at 2am and wake everyone in the house… apparently this is common when the batteries run low? Seems like they should be routinely changed to prevent that from occurring. None of these issues are big, but combined are quite a few blunders considering we paid top dollar to stay here.

Great spot we’d stay again

A gorgeous view from the patio overlooking the marina and downtown Airlie Beach. An easy walk down the hill to restaurants and convenient access to the coastal walk bridging Airlie Beach and Cannonvale. A couple minute's drive to the marina connects you with excursion opportunities. A well stocked kitchen and laundry in the condo. Staff were helpful and accommodating. We loved our stay in the beautiful location!

qualia is one of the most beautiful properties we have visited. The setting, architecture, views, and atmosphere truly feel special and uniquely Australian. Our arrival experience was excellent. Noemi provided a warm airport pickup, smooth check-in, and a thoughtful overview of the property and room. The accommodations themselves were stunning. We also had an incredible “Best of Both Worlds” tour with Pedro, who was engaging, knowledgeable, and passionate about the island. It was one of the highlights of the trip. The main challenge during the first 24 hours was inconsistency in service attentiveness. At times, particularly at the pool and during our first dinner at Long Pavilion, service felt less proactive than expected for a property at this level. Drink refills, reservation follow-up, and simple check-ins occasionally required prompting rather than feeling naturally anticipated. What truly elevated the experience was the response from leadership. Rebecca, the General Manager, was exceptional: thoughtful, responsive, attentive, and genuinely interested in feedback. Her professionalism and accountability significantly improved the remainder of our stay. Beach Club dinner was another standout, with warm staff, relaxed pacing, and beautifully prepared food and cocktails. Overall, qualia delivers an extraordinary setting and many memorable moments. Very disappointed with our stay. The location is great, but the cleaning and customer service were very poor. The room was not cleaned properly, and the staff were slow and unhelpful when we raised our concerns. For the price, we expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.
