Pennsylvania Dutch Country Adults Only Holidays

No running water on our first day from 10am-3pm due to water damage from pipe bursting and that night we had mice running around in our room. The hotel smelled moldy and the pool looked cloudy. I didn’t want to risk swimming in it. No room service even though it was offered online. The restaurant had 1 waiter and he refused to wait on us because he said he was the only one and told us to go to the bar. I would not recommend this hotel until things are fixed.

We had a very good stay at the Sofitel Philadelphia. The location is excellent, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was large.While the hotel feels a little dated, it’s very well maintained. We also appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly approach and the daily hotel credit, which was a great perk to use at the bar. The only area that could be improved is housekeeping. One day, our room wasn’t cleaned until after we returned in the evening, and only after we called the front desk a few times. On other days, housekeeping would arrive very early, around 8–9 a.m., and if you weren’t ready then, they often didn’t return later, which was a bit inconvenient. We also had an issue with our bathroom sink overflowing. The team immediately offered to move us to another room, which was a thoughtful gesture. We really appreciated how professionally they handled it. A special mention to Ada at the front desk, who was exceptionally warm and helpful. One thing that really stood out was that the front desk staff remembered guests by name, which is a hallmark of great hospitality and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would happily stay here again.

Location was good but the pool closed at 8pm. It was 110 degrees and we couldn’t use the pool. We had four people in our room and never had enough towels; 2or 3 depending on the day. Housekeeping left trash sitting on counter and never finished. Alan was wonderful when we dropped our bags off the first day!

IRA is the best part of this hotel!! The WiFi was spotty but the place is beautiful and well located. The new supper club is insanely gorgeous!! And the gym!!!!!

Concierge was super helpful! The hotel is beautiful! The rooms themselves are not very practical for families traveling with children. The sliding barn door over the toilet and shower and the exposed sink/vanity area make it difficult to get ready quietly without disturbing those sleeping. But again, a beautiful space. My biggest frustration is that the staff would not allow us to eat food we’d brought with us in the outdoor area because it wasn’t purchased from the restaurant/bar. My teenagers just wanted a sandwich and fruit…….I would like to think they could eat it at one of the many empty tables on the deck area (not in the restaurant). I guess not. That’s unfortunate. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel where they wouldn’t let you bring your own food to the pool area if you wanted to.
