So close to the station and the meal deal for dinner and breakfast was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely to have aircon after some hot nights In London with no aircon. Got the best nights sleep with the cool and the quiet. Would highly recommend. Just questioned the hairdryer in my room, not sure if a wiring issue but it stopped and started. Meant to tell reception on checkout but forgot, sorry!

The room was very spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The only issue I experienced was that the water in the bathroom was too hot and there was no way to make it cooler. Apart from this, everything was good.

Lobby and rooms not the cleanest. Elevator broken. Key card coder broken so had no key for over half my stay. The poor staff had to escort guests up to their rooms. Not fair on staff.

I thought the staff was pleasant enough, my biggest quarrel was with the lift being out of service. It was frustrating to walk up 3 flights of stairs to my room with a heavy suitcase, I don’t know how older or disabled folks managed during the time although I’m not sure how busy the hotel was. The room itself was clean, heater/ac unit made a rattle noise, the bed was big and comfy, room itself was also large. You’re walking distance to York’s major sites and the train station, I also noticed frequent bus service in front of the hotel so I imagine other areas of York are also quite accessible.
