We had a lovely stay at Dean Court. The staff were very friendly and our single rooms were clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was really good, with the hot food cooked to order. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay at a hotel right next to York Minster. Loved the spacious room, comfy bed and hot breakfast in the morning. This is our 2nd stay here and when we return to York we will stay again.

For a hotel that gets so many 10/10 reviews I am at a loss to understand why it gets perfect scores unless they are fake reviews. We stayed in room 63, a worn out room with an old bed, dirty carpet, doors patched with the wrong colour paint, fan that never switched off in the bathroom etc. It's up a narrow staircase at the back of the hotel with no lift access. I can only conclude that the main part of the hotel has been modernized and therefore warrant full marks OR the reviews are fake. Either way, avoid. Location is great. Hotel has no A/C so you have to use a fan and open the window - prepare to be woken by the bin collection very early morning.

The hotel is in an excellent location with all the amenities and attractions within walking distance. The staff are friendly and efficient and we’re all willing to do that extra bit to make our stay worthwhile The hotel’s parking arrangements are excellent, especially for a hotel right in the city centre.The room itself was clean and spacious with everything you would expect. The food was excellent- nothing extraordinary - but very well cooked.
