Simon and Andrea are excellent hosts. They serve a lovely breakfast made to order with fresh baked bread. They even made me gluten free bread! They are knowledgeable about the area and eager to share their information. Would definitely go back.

Highly recommended

Lovely guest house and great location. Clean and comfortable. Great attention to detail. Really comfy bed, sheets and towels. Breakfast was very nice especially the fresh fruit salad. Simon was very welcoming and we'll definitely be back for another stay.

Excellent location. Quiet but easy walking to York centre 10 mins away. Room was very comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent. Simon and Andrea could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. Highly recommended

Simon and Andrea went out of their way to make us feel extremely comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely, very spacious and very very clean. The breakfast was fantastic, we could take our time and they kept checking that we didn’t want more! Will definitely stay there again when we next visit York!

Amazing stay at hotel 21

We had an amazing stay at hotel 21 it's location is excellent and the hotel had everything you wanted. The breakfast was beautiful and will definitely be going back.

Andrea and Simon we’re fabulous hosts, location was about as good as it gets. Comfort and facilities were excellent and the breakfasts were great. One wanted for nothing, they have covered all the bases. I would recommend to any one.

The owner/hosts were professional, knowledgeable and caring. Delightful people. This was an older building with small rooms and bathrooms but very clean and well-appointed. The B&B was charming and very well-located with easy walking from the train station and to the inner old town. We would definitely stay here again.

Staying at no 21 York April 2017

No 21 York is a great base from which to explore York and the local area. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel most welcome by Simon, the proprietor. The check in process was easy and fast. The room we had was well laid out and very comfortable, the only downside being it wasn't ensuite which meant a very short trip across the hall to the dedicated shower room. Having said that, Bathrobes and slippers were laid on to make it easier. Nice touch. The breakfasts are to die for with a large selection of locally produced food, including bread made daily by Simon himself. Great flexibility was provided round the breakfast if you wanted to mix and match. Another nice touch, both accomodating and friendly. The hotel itself is easy to reach from the train station and although near to the railway line is surprisingly quiet. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a nice quiet location within easy reach of the town centrre and looking for an above normal level of service

Perfect Stay!

We booked No.21 after reading all the great reviews and they were all spot on! The room was very comfortable and clean, There is a small fridge with bottled water and fresh milk for your tea and coffee. There were also hand made buiscuits which were very nice! Breakfast was simply fantastic, all cooked fresh for you with plenty of choice and all localy produced. The owner Simon was a perfect host, a gentlaman and could not do enough to help you. Location wise was great too, down a very quiet stree and just a five minute stoll to the center of town. I would certainly recommend No.21 to anyone visiting York.Thank you to all the team for a very special stay!

Wonderful Bed and Breakfast

A very comfortable Bed and Breakfast. Simon the host was very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from and all made fresh for you. Room was very comfortable, with a t.v. free wifi, tea and coffee, fresh snacks, fresh milk, a little mini fridge. Complimentary toiletries in shower room. Room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels left in bathroom. Overall a lovely stay in a lovely place. Thank you very much.
