"I recently stayed at the Hotel Indigo York and had a wonderful experience. The location is truly unbeatable—you are right in the heart of the city and can easily walk to the city center in about 8 minutes.
The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay, which really made a difference. I also have to highlight the breakfast, which was absolutely awesome—definitely one of the best parts of the morning.
My only minor complaint was the shower design. It suffered from the same issue I’ve encountered previously at another IHG hotel; the use of a half-glass panel instead of a full door meant that water splattered everywhere, making a mess of the bathroom floor. It is a shame, as a simple full glass door would have been much more practical.
Despite that, everything else was excellent. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-located, and welcoming base for your time in York, I would definitely recommend it."
