"We had a wonderful stay at The Grand, York. The rooms are big, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was excellent, and the shower was powerful and relaxing — exactly what you want after a long day. The food was very good, with great quality and variety, and the service throughout the hotel was outstanding. Every member of staff was happy, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which made the stay feel extra special. The spa was absolutely amazing — a real highlight and perfect for unwinding. Overall, a fantastic hotel that combines comfort, great service, and luxury in a brilliant location. Highly recommended."

"This is a lovely modern hotel. The decor is beautiful with really unusual lightning, chandeliers, wall colourings and pictures. It is fresh, but comfortable. All staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and shiny. The rooms are well laid out, with sufficient furniture for a comfortable stay. Breakfast is superb. Laid out ready to help yourself to whatever you fancy, with a wide choice of food. Again the waiting staff were charming. Only slight disappointment was the poor and relatively expensive evening menu. Not sufficiently so to lose a star as there are so many places to eat in the city, but we would have preferred to eat in the hotel, as the weather was very cold. The hotel is situated just about 5 minutes walk from where most of the attractions are situated, so perfect for exploring on foot. No need for a car. Although it is fairly close to the station, i would recommend using a taxi when you arrive. Very reasonably priced and very pleasant, helpful drivers. In spite of the cold we thoroughly enjoyed our break in York, and fully recommend this hotel. "

"Staff were excellent. Service was brilliant for breakfast and we had meal in the restaurant on our first night . The young man serving us was very welcoming and advised us re the tapas menu . Room comfortable. The bathroom was a little tired shower was excellent but decor needs refurbishing . After a shower the room was drenched in condensation. The bathroom heater wasn’t working on the first night there . All in all no complaints this was our second visit to this hotel and we will come back "
