"We loved absolutely everything in this hotel and we've even decided to stay longer.
Service: quality of service was what surprised us the most. The staff is very polite and helpful, they care about each customer and do their job very well. Outstanding!
Dinner and breakfast: As a vegan, I had plenty options to eat and during the dinner they have prepared hot pot meal without animal-derived products for me.

"Loved my stay at Hotel Housei. Yamanouchi is one of my favourite places in Japan and this is a great place to stay as it is within walking distance of Yudanaka and Shibu Onsen. Hotel Housei provides shuttle service to Snow Monkey Park and Ski areas nearby.
Dining and breakfast options were great.
I must also mention the staff is very English-friendly which made things very easy for me. "

"Nicer Ryokan for the area. Obvious reason to stay is to visit the Shibu Onsen facilities and the Snow Monkey Park and this is a great option for those activities. Pretty close to the Shiga Kogen resort. Check the Map before booking as it is not in Nagano despite the address. Diner and breakfast with Half board was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. Free shuttles were a bonus."
