Great service--immediately brought anything we asked for to our hotel room. Next to iapm, a large, luxurious shopping mall with amazing food for very reasonable prices and cute shops. Comfortable room; no complaints.

very bad language skills , staff has hard time understamding

Its a little hard to find the hotel hidden through a small alley. The reception is very small and casual, there is nothing impressive about it. The main attraction of this hotel are the rooms and its balconies. The rooms are classic without being tacky, something that it is hard to come by in China. I had a room on the top floor with a balcony towards a large tree that gave a sense of harmony and secludedness, something I appreciate a lot in a city like Shanghai.

Breakfast is very bad and room is nice but they should improve the restaurant foods varieties.

Loved the deco look of this hotel in a location close to the subway. Staff were universally helpful and friendly. Room clean if slightly worn.

The hotel is good,actual the check-in starts from 9am. And the hotel provide a free buffet breakfast, which is not listed in the hotel booking page. Also room have a free wifi. Total experience is amazing.

This is a little off the beaten track if you're looking for a fashionable or touristic part of Shanghai but I liked it. It felt more 'local'. The staff were helpful and during the day there was usually someone around who spoke English. The advice about getting around was good. They provide ac continental breakfast, but don't bother; the Chinese breakfast was solid and really hit the spot for a cold winter morning. I couldn't work out how to get the fridge to work, and had I stayed longer would have had to ask, but it didn't seem worth it at the time. The bed was quite hard. This seems to be a Chinese preference. It was clean and felt safe. I'll stay again.

This hotel is in an excellent location. It's just few minutes walking to Huihai road and Shanxi road business district.
