We had a beautiful view of the ocean. The problem that occurred was our room was dirty. We talked to the front staff but they blew us off. The restaurant and tiki bar were closed. We were notified when we arrived. Our stay was from May 19-May 22. Our room was 919. The toilet paper holder would not hold the toilet paper. Three working light bulbs instead of one would have been nice. The master bath sink faucet, cold water would drip, it would rotate 360 degrees A king size bed should have king size pillows. The sofa looked very worn and made noises when you sat on it. We were provided one trash bag, had to go to the front desk for more. While looking for more trash bags, I found Behr paint cans under the kitchen sink. If we were staying at a $40 a night hotel, I would not be nearly as upset, but $883 for three nights,

Room 616 is below standard. Sofa was filthy and worn down and uncomfortable, linens were stained and ac was out for hours. No fan definitely in need of an update. We were here for graduation for a grandchild and I was 2 week out from postop cancer surgery. Couldn’t lay on couch and couldn’t stay in without ac. Pretty miserable.

I went for a relaxing time, and it was all I found. The apartment is beautiful with ocean view, and you will want to stay there longer if you could!

Did NOT like the manager on duty arguing with me that cushion in the seating room area is dirty, stained & unkept b/4 showing us another room (308), in exchange to (Rm. 620) which we objected to - had to show her pictures I took to convince her of poor condition of seating area & the bed.....

It was a beautiful resort! I loved that it was close to beach and water! The accommodations were excellent as well😊 It was good that parking area was covered, but it would be better to have luggage access on each floor from garage.

I loved being on the ocean however our ocean view was obstructed from the palm trees and dunes because our room was on the 2nd floor- and we could hear the guests in the pool area, too low to really appreciate the views. As far as the room itself goes, the decor was nice with a coastal living theme however the showerhead was loose in the wall and we couldn't move it for fear of it falling out of the wall. The coffee pot in the room was broken - they did replace it with a new one. Lastly, I felt like every day I had to request soap, towels etc, In other vacation hotels there is an abundant amount available in the rooms without even asking. Lastly, for the amount of money it costs to stay here the parking should be free! But all in all, it was a nice vacation with the family.

The beach access and room were delightful. I loved that the front desk had towels and gave us a list of local resturants and attractions. The bed was comfortable and the rooms was beautiful. Cons: The water in the hotel smelled awful and i didnt want to wash my hair with it. The room also didnt have as many amenities as most hotels; conditioner, lotion, shower cap, ect.

The water had such a bad odor that we did not even shower and our hands smelled after washing them. The room was clean but the facilities seem run down and poorly maintained. The staff was very friendly and the beach was fantastic.

Overall, My wife and I had a nice time at the Shell Island resort. We had a room that provided a living room with a kitchen, stove, refrigerator, plates, drinking glasses, coffee maker, utensils, TV, balcony facing the beach/ocean, watch the sun rise and set, watch the moon rise; we had 2 bathrooms, a bedroom with 2 double beds. The place had 2 pools - outside and inside, a hot tub, a walk on to the beach within seconds. There was an exercise room and a business room for internet access with a desktop computer. There was a restaurant for eating, but you must pay for your own breakfast. The staff were courteous and friendly. Overall, we were happy and it's a nice convenient place to stay; I would definitely recommend this place to other prospective customers and I look forward to returning to the Shell Island Resort perhaps next year. As a recommendation to the management - make sure all mold spots are removed from the ceilings and walls and make sure that all bed sheets do not have any spotted stains - my wife has an eye for this type of discrepancies. But I still recommend for people to come to stay at Shell Island Resort - it is a nice and worthy place to be at.

Run down and dirty. Hotel didn't provide items you get everywhere else (water, lotion, conditioner, etc), no daily housekeeping. No mattress cover on one of the beds, exposed electrical, towel racks falling out of walls, I could go on and on. Very disappointed. Only thing this place has going for it is the oceanfront location.

Just make sure there's not a wedding in the building on the first floor with a live DJ playing music that felt like it was in tue next door room. We were right above the area for weddings. Just get a room on the opposite side on the buildings banquet rooms. View was amazing very clean very average and needs a major remodel

The air conditioning did not work in our room. We went to the restaurant for dinner. I ordered blackened chicken tacos and the tortillas were slimy. My husband ordered fish tacos and took one bite to find the fish was spoiled. We paid and ordered a pizza to be delivered. I would not recommend. One upside was the view from the room.
