"I feel bad writing this because my beliefs teach me to either say something positive or stay quiet. However, I believe the purpose of these surveys is to help identify issues so improvements can be made. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience during our stay. When I arrived and opened the cabinet door to place our food in the refrigerator, the door immediately fell off because it was broken. I called twice requesting it to be fixed, but nothing was done. Later that night, when I sat on the bed in Room 130, the bed leaned heavily to one side and felt broken. I contacted maintenance, but I was told it was too late (around 9:30 PM) to repair it. They did offer another room, but since I was traveling with my children and we had two connected rooms, moving was not really possible because there were no other connected rooms available. The next morning, I tried to make coffee, but the coffee machine in the room was not working. I called the front desk, and they told me I could get coffee from the restaurant instead. However, when I went there, the server only allowed me one cup and said each guest needed to come personally. I understand the policy, but the front desk had informed me that since our coffee machine was broken, I could get coffee for all four of us. In the end, I only took one cup because it was not worth arguing over, and I could easily buy coffee elsewhere. Unfortunately, the issues continued. "Room smelled like smoke. Got into the room once and then the cards both stopped working. No staff on hand from 10pm-10am and got lovked out our pets locked in the room for 12 hours with no way into the room. Will never stay here again. "

"I suppose I should be thankful for the price but I did not have a good experience at the hotel. I had no idea there was construction going on during my stay. Most rooms are under renovation. During my stay: there was no shower curtain on the shower. The tv didn’t work. There was no housekeeping in the 4 nights I stayed there. While the staff was nice these issues could not be overlooked and they were slow to resolve them. At least the beds were comfortable and the lobby cookies were tasty. "

"Stayed here 2 nights for business in Davis. The location is convenient. At first glance, the first floor room was clean. However, the next morning I found a large live cockroach in the bathroom. I told the front desk staff and was able to get a new room on the top floor. He was not apologetic but was quick to issue me a new room. No other compensation was given. I didn't hear the adjacent rooms, but I'm not sure if anyone was in them. You'll definitely here footsteps from upstairs and the traffic. Parking was $10 for the entire stay. I didn't bother touching the breakfast after I found the cockroach. Will not be staying here again."

"The place was fine enough and Bessie who helped with the breakfast was Stellar. Our front desk staff was nice also and lent us a fan to use. That brings us to the issue of the a/c. It was 81 in the room when we checked in and it took a full day to come Down to 68. It was a little smelly and the maintenance man was kind of rude and accused us of freezing the a/c which was the reason for the room being hot, although we did not freeze the a/c. Bathrooms were clean. The faucet had a leak and also the window casings were literally falling off."

"Rm was really nice. This is our second time here. We had the 2 bedroom suite this time. Just wished there was more kitchen stuff like plates, glasses, silverware to use. Breakfast always a plus. Good selection."
