"Booked this hotel as an overnight stop for its convenient location. However, it exceeded all our expectations Clean and quiet, helpful staff and the room was spacious and calm. Great night's rest in a comfortable bed with good pillows. Breakfast, in the morning was good quality and locally sourced. Quality balanced with ecology due to its carbon neutral operation. I will definitely be returning soon"

"Absolutely superb ! Like stepping on board the titanic! Fantastic decor. Staff! efficient polite very clean and tidy. Beautiful building inside. Outside building needs some renovation but ok . Huge spacious rooms with everything you need maybe a fridge be useful particularly when hot weather. But all things considered very good. Price very good for July no issues with that . Staff friendly and helpful. Don’t believe all reviews! Some people are too quick to pull a business down. For this hotel comments were about thread bear and tiered! Maybe a bit , but I love that used patina and for a building of its age it’s just character and a fabulous example of a standard from a bygone age . Thank goodness some people keep these hotels alive and kicking. 🙏"

"The property is built on a hill so some rooms have stairs in the room past the bathroom area. Bed is comfortable and they have AC."

"An oasis of calm in a lovely small historic city. Make sure you use the pool and garden and enjoy a glass of champagne during happy hour, outside if the sun is shining! Wonderful short stay!"
