The lodge itself is lovely, it’s spacious and has so much potential but Cleanliness was a let down for us. We arrived 30 minutes after the allotted check-in time to a property that hadn’t been cleaned. Dirty towels on the floor, beds not made and the floor was filthy. They arrived 10 minutes after us to clean the property which was done in about half hour, if that - so to us it didn’t feel clean enough and left us slightly unsettled for the rest of our stay, we still spotted clumps of hair and dust during our own attempt at cleaning. Communication prior to our arrival should have been attempted for us to hold off slightly, but instead we arrived to a dirty lodge and received a ‘sincere apology’ when they arrived, personally this was unacceptable. My brother was supposed to be in the back twin bedroom but had to sleep on the couch as he is asthmatic and was triggered by what I can only assume the mold on the walls behind the cabinet, they only stayed for two nights in the end as apposed to the original week. At the end of our stay, we stripped one of the beds and the stains on the quilt was disgusting, we didn’t attempt to strip the others or remove the bottom sheet as one was enough. One thing I was appreciative of though was the quick response from the owners when we had a minor issue with the radiator which was resolved in a matter of minutes. We thank you for hosting our stay but unfortunately it’s not somewhere we will be returning to anytime soon.
