Perfect place to stay if you want to visit winchester, if you have difficulties walking don't worry, theres a chair lift so you can access all areas from the carpark. The staff are extremely polite and will help you if you need it. The courtyard is astounding and has to be relaxed in, what more do you need.

We had a lovely stay. Beautiful walled garden for relaxing having a drink/meal. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Some of the hotel is a little tired, but they appear to be working on it. The bar was redecorated during our stay, with minimal disruption. Breakfast was adequate. We didn’t eat any other meals in the hotel, but the meals and afternoon teas being served to guests in the garden looked delicious.

Good room with a nice view to the garden. However, the receptionist on duty when we arrived could not have seemed less interested, and the car park is inadequate, and the hotel charges you to use it, in top of the room fee.

Excellent location , really old hotel . We stayed in new annex ,superior double facing beautiful gardens. Very quiet for us . Parking may be an issue as it’s on a first come first served basis for £12 per night. Only 25 parking spaces,so if it’s busy! Just ask when booking here. Staff were excellent from checking in to leaving. I’d recommend this hotel as everything is within a comfortable walk from here.

Lovely hotel. Our room was an accessable room (not requested or required) so the bathroom was functional and gigantic but not 'nice'. Our window had a car parked next to it. The beds were very soft. Saying all of that it was a lovely place with a lovely garden, staff were lovely and breakfast was expensive but convenient. I would def stay again. Location was amazing and price was competative.

Top Clubcard Bargain
We have stayed here before in the garden annexe but on the ground floor. This time we were on the first floor of the annexe. The room was spacious and bright with nice outlook over the walled garden. Bed large and comfortable. Comfortable temperature. Only detrimental point was very low water pressure to shower (a dribble rather than a shower) and blocked plughole. We managed and dont remember same problem on ground floor. Perhaps they need a pump. Anyway I told the receptionist and she was going to inform maintenance. as We had a lovely meal at the restaurant to celebrate my mum's birthday. Couldnt fault the food or service which was great. as This hotel is in a perfect position, close to the City centre. Very good value for money, especially with Tesco Clubcard rewards!

Great Location
Great location. Parking expensive for residents. Room very comfortable with pleasant view of gardens. But bathroom needs a little attention re flaking paint around basin area. Checking out was not a pleasant experience - zero interaction from the receptionist - didn't enquire about our satisfaction - almost surly.

Needs a good clean
Great breakfast & friendly staff. First room had a broken loo. Replaced room was very tired and needed a good clean. Flaking paint on the walls, spilt drink splatter, cobwebs and dirt in the bathroom.

We had to leave a day early due to a very sad family situation. The two members i spoke to in reception were so kind and cancelled our last night with no financial loss to us. As i say,so kind. Xx
