"We had a lovely stay. Beautiful walled garden for relaxing having a drink/meal. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Some of the hotel is a little tired, but they appear to be working on it. The bar was redecorated during our stay, with minimal disruption. Breakfast was adequate. We didn’t eat any other meals in the hotel, but the meals and afternoon teas being served to guests in the garden looked delicious."

"Hotel serving large grounds and in a very peaceful tranquil setting . Hotel very good and was able to check in early. Staff at reception very pleasant . Room ( double classic) very comfortable but picture had shown bath but not one in room ( minor detail) Sat outside the bar during the after and numerous tables composing about delay in receding food and drink . "Not a great experience- they did not have the restaurant booking I had made just a week previous (they did say they could make room for us, but all seemed a bit disorganised) and breakfast wasn’t up to much (we overheard that the chef hadn’t shown up, however the staff member didn’t tell us this and we had to wait over half an hour and ask twice for coffees that he was doing at the bar). Room was nice just feel no one had much of a clue what was going on."

"Very welcome by the check-in staff. Room ready and spacious and bright, pet made very welcome with no problem. Two night stay used the restaurant both night. Menu full of choice excellent starters and main with great dessert. Second night choose from "bar menu" but in the restaurant, very good choice. Prices very competitive in restaurant and bar. Great stay.... even though we didn't visit the Zoo!!! "
