"We were greeted by Chris when we checked in after long day exploring Cotswold. We decided to stay in and booked a reservation for dinner. We had steak and Seabass and both meals were cooked to a perfection. All the courses were delicious from starter to dessert. "A characterful hotel in a great location. Our room was very spacious and in the old part of the hotel, full of old beams and quirky corners. Bed was large and comfortable. The dining was very good and the courtyard and its resident cat delightful. The only I didnt like was there is no lift to get to the upper rooms…the stairs were very narrow. Summer could be a bit hot as there is no AC but that is common in Europe and the Uk. Would definitely stay again. "

"The hotel is magical - the staff super friendly. The decor elegant - remodel very well done - its very chic and not done in cheep way - the quality of toiletries and tea in room are high end - organic - wish we could stay here longer. The only thing to watch out for is check-in is closed from 12h-15h. The stairway up to the rooms is a bit narrow. Not a problem but just to be aware if you use oversized luggage. I would defiantly stay here again. "
