However, the staff gave me the key to the storage room which happens to be in the basement: One – serious security breach given that other people‘s luggage was in there. My own had my computer. Two – it’s in the basement requiring older people to carry and find their way without any instructions. Seem careless, and this was the general attitude of the staff towards their guestsa "

"The hotel was undergoing renovations- they put us on a room with plastic all over the hallway carpets.workers began around 7.30am it was impossible to sleep. The room was very small - no kettle, no fridge, water provided on first day only. Breakfast buffet food was below average - over cooked and cold. While location was excellent - I did not enjoy this hotel at all."

The staff are wonderful: warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, which makes the stay even more special. The location is also perfect - right in the center of Jena, making everything easily accessible.
