"Our family enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Golden Smelt. We have been renting VRBO properties for decades and this is by far the best stay we have ever had. The cabin is brand new, and was stocked with everything we needed to make our stay special. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen, the comfortable beds, the stylish decor, the ample parking spaces, and of course the incredible views of mountains and lake. We loved sitting at the dining table next to the wall of windows that face the lake. The sandy beach was enjoyed daily as we swam in the clear, clean water of Rangeley Lake. We liked sitting on the dock and watching the sun set behind the mountains. The cabin was perfectly clean and Beth was the type of host that made our booking and departure very easy. We are already planning our next visit!"
"I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the cabin was! I read the positive reviews and felt comfortable staying there but didn’t realize how spacious and homey the cabin would feel! The beds were super comfortable, having a washer and dryer in the cabin was a pleasant surprise, and the quietness of the entire resort area was fantastic. Super spread out. Renting canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards was really easy. The cabin got a little warm during the day but the three box fans were a big help."

"We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary at this property. It was ideal for a large group. Plenty of room for multiple families to have privacy and extra room for the teens to hang out! Picturesque location. It’s close to town but you feel like you are in the country. We didn’t leave the property. Between the waterfront, ATV, fire pit, covered porch, lush green yard and game room, everyone found something they enjoyed! We can’t wait to book again."
"The cabin was perfect for our stay. We had deer come up close to the cabin in the morning, which was a pleasant site. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There was no dishwasher and little counter space when cooking-that is the only thing I can say that would have made our stay even more perfect. I also want to thank the people at Morton and Furbish for answering all of our questions and being so helpful and kind. We really appreciated it.
