", and have to say this hotel did not disappoint. Staff very friendly and welcoming from check in to breakfast in the morning and check out. They had a fan in the bedroom which came in very handy as it was an extremely warm day/night. Room was very clean and had a lovely touch with complimentary bottles of water and biscuits. Breakfast was everything you would look for in morning. Thank you for a lovely stay again. Will definitely be back next year!! "

"Had a few days in The Lakes while visiting family in the UK and attending the Oasis concert in London. We could not have been happier with The Ambleside Inn - totally excellent stay. Great location, wonderful staff (thank you) and although no onsite parking there are lots very close to the Inn and the short stay (30 min) drop off is right outside. Highlights: clean and pretty well kept, despite it being super busy (it was July!), with a really good breakfast and a nice cozy bar plus Pub Food in the evenings. Lots of excellent places to eat in town and all very walk-able and of course it's an extremely picturesque town / setting. Everything in the room worked well and we were pleased with the amenities. Be warned: NO ELEVATOR (aka lift). So if you've got a ton of international size cases it's certainly a challenge getting to the higher floors. Would we go back? Yes; very probably. We have stayed elsewhere in Ambleside, and the lakes, several times before, but the location, staff and amenities would probably mean this is the best place we've stayed. Greatly appreciated the welcome and had a really good visit. Thank you."
