"The staff in the hotel were amazing, nothing too much for them and so friendly, the hotel itself was first class in every department and such a good price including a hot breakfast , definitely now mu place to stay when I am in the area"
"Great location and excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff and service. Nice and clean. Slightly noisy by the roadside though and car parking could be an issue for some."
"This is a lovely place to stay. It is just off the M5 in a rural location. A beautiful pub with history. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The food choices are varied and when served, well presented.
We will stay again when we are visiting family in Cheshire or Scotland. "
"It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The lodge was a really high standard, the owners had thought of everything. The cherry on the top was the hot tub. The owners were really friendly, and at hand if you needed them. A really great place to stay if you want peace and quiet, and to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Would highly recommend."

"Great place to stay if you are a real ale buff, as there were plenty to choose from. A place with a little history. Would definitely stay there again. "

Tudor Manor - pet friendly with hot tub near Ombersley
6/10 Okay
"Acton Manor is a magnificent country house with extensive outside space and has the added advantage of a games room and, at an additional charge, a hot tub. Most of the bedrooms are large with four poster beds and it was clean and fairly comfortably furnished. However, the overall impression is that of being tired and poorly maintained which give rise to a number of faults that require attention, and left us with a feeling of disappointment about our short stay here. The major problems included a mattress on the top bunk which we had to supplement with a duvet, heating that could not be turned off in some rooms (during a heatwave!), and the key and locks on the exit doors frequently jammed. The dishwasher bottom drawer is broken and there was no welcome pack. A call to the manager resulted in some missing items like bin liners and dishwasher tablets being provided and a maintenance man to assist with the doors. Outside, there were insufficient garden chairs, the store for cushions was dirty, the cushions mouldy and the few toys were dirty and broken. The barbecue and patio are a good size but the gas ran out halfway through cooking. The outdoor play equipment was dangerously decrepit, with large rusty nails sticking out and broken climbing equipment. This property has so much potential and a bit of care and attention could bring it up to the standard which would be worthy of the cost to hire. As it is, it leaves an impression of being past its best. "
"Ate in the bar area. Excellent food and knowledgeable about gluten free requirements.
Room was well decorated and some nice finishing touches.
My only criticism was that the shower should be updated"
"Great house, with everything you could need each bedroom has en suite. Kitchen is very well equipped, we had private chef to cook meal for us and although kitchen was small he managed a 3 course meal for 10 of us!Great little pub 5 mins walk away. Our only problem was no hot water and heating this morning, but someone came to sort for us.Would definitely recommend."
