Rocky Cliff Retreat at Davis Lake

"My family and I spent four days at the Rocky cliff retreat and it was absolutely wonderful. It has the perfect amount of privacy, while still being easy to get to. We took my daughter’s senior portraits at the lake we’ve been going to her whole life- and then we ended up taking some on the deck of the property because it’s just gorgeous out there. The host is easy to contact and responds quickly. The kitchen literally had everything we needed and I love that the coffee maker is a coffee pot and not pods. My kids absolutely loved the basement area and officially marked this their favorite house that we’ve rented at Lake Davis. The living room is super cozy and the furniture is very comfortable- the wood burning stove just tops it off. I would love to stay in the winter with the stove going - tons of board games and an endless supply of coffee. We would easily recommend this house to anyone wanting to visit the area. I hope we end up renting it again in the future."

"There is no communication from the host in a town that has no Wi-Fi. No one was home to answer the door or greet us when we got there. So he stood there a little confused, not knowing what to do until we eventually saw a piece of paper around the corner that said the keys were in the door. Once we got in and put our stuff down, we were quite comfortable. I actually enjoyed that there was no Wi-Fi or TV or even an electric clock. It’s exactly what my body needed. To sit down with a glass of wine and my mother to reconnect and have some quality one-on-one time. I think I would have appreciated a little information as to what restaurants were in this tiny town since I had never been here before. It wasn’t hard to find, and we had an amazing meal down the road. I would definitely come back."

"We rented the house for three days as part of a wedding party in the area. Everything went great and we had no issues with the property. Lovely area and very peaceful. Had no issues with checking in/out, as well as finding and using all of the amenities we needed. We did not need to use the detached cottage but it look fine as well. Convenient access to the local town amenities including a grocery store. Would stay here again!"

"This was a beautiful home with a wonderful host. The house has this warm feeling the moment we walked in, with its incredible views and comfortable decor. The house was in great shape and clean. The beds and bedding were what you would have in your own home. The kitchen was wonderful with a commercial style range/oven and high quality cookware. We were there for my daughters wedding and this was a wonderful place for our family to stay. The host, Ally was responsive and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend a stay at this home. Thank you Ally."

"Great property! Perfect for our wedding weekend, the wedding party enjoyed the poker and pool tables, the hot tub and all the space to chill during a busy weekend. The house is set up well for a lot of people,especially when they come go as our party did.We loved everything about our stay!"

"Great house in a great area. Very close to Bars, restaurants, golf, gas, etc. The lock box is tricky and should be replaced. The water shut off on us on our last night so we had no water. Unable to reach anyone but it was very late when we returned to the house. Overall great place, just need to fix the lock box and water valve issue."
