Two double bedroom flat with fantastic roof terrace overlooking Swing Brid
From the roof terrace look down on the crowds and venture out for an evening stroll along Church Street to the famous Abbey steps, or down to Tate Sands, below the Abbey, where Dracula's ship was wrecked. When the bell rings go out with a drink to watch the bridge opening and the yachts going out to sea and the fisherman returning with their catch in the evening. If there's a better spot in Whitby to watch the world go by I've yet to find it and I've been visiting for over 50 years! A light spacious flat with art work on the walls and a cosy dining/ living room. Sorry but not suitable for dogs, and as there are two flights of stairs into the flat unfortunately unsuitable for those with mobility problems. Young children will need supervision on the roof terrace. PLEASE NOTE AFTER TWO FIRES ON THE DECKING NO BBQ'S ARE PERMITTED ! You can see the view of the Swing Bridge from the roof terrace here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRlFAtUiooA

This property is wonderful, plenty of room and charm, right in the heart of Whitby, we were blessed with wonderful weather, and the terrace was amazing watching the boats come and go, we loved it and if ever in Whitby again would definitely choose to stay here, thank you John we will definitely be letting family and friends no about your beautiful apartment xx
We have stayed at this apartment three times now and we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else now,its in the heart of everything, cannot wait till next time.
This is the second time we have stayed here and will definitely be back. The location is second to none and there is no better spot than the balcony in the sunshine, which we were lucky to have plenty of

The best spot in Whitby!
We had a lovely time in Whitby, the flat was perfect and definitely in the best spot. Fantastic views from the roof terrace and the best bits of Whitby on your doorstep. Would recommend this place and would certainly stay again.
Perfect location, comfortable beds and furniture. Should make it clearer that no BBQs allowed on terrace before booking, or remove the pic of someone bbq'ing from images to avoid any misconceptions

Splendid location and a really nice flat
Literally right in the centre of Whitby. Comfortable flat with all you need for a pleasant stay. Weather wasn't quite good enough to enjoy the roof terrace but the views were fantastic.
Having stopped at the swing bridge lookout before it seemed to be the perfect place for our valentines getaway. We had an amazing few days, we will definitely be back soon.

Perfect flat at any time of year
We've just enjoyed our third stay at this flat. It is just so relaxing and comfortable yet Whitby is on the doorstep - it's fabulous. It's so easy to pop in and out in between seeing the sights, which are all close by, or sit on the terrace for the best of both worlds. Great.
The location was perfect and the roof terrace was great. The photographs don’t do it justice. It has two large double rooms and everything you need. It’s quirky and full of character. Hopefully, we’ll visit again soon.
On a sunny day, there isn’t a better place than the roof terrace to watch the world go by! A great location to explore the beauty of Whitby. Quirky apartment with everything you need 😊 (apart from towels… you need to take your own and I missed that in the booking confirmation!)
Property in excellent central location. Roof terrace was amazing, a real bonus. Everything very comfortable although front door & steps very pigeonified!!!
But generally a great location, loved the views from the upstairs bedroom !!!!!
this property is located in centre of town easy access to both sides of town not to far from train station might be a problem for those with a car as there is no parking at place view of harbour is fantastic . only thing is take towels with you as they are not provided
Absolutely fantastic!!! Lovely apartment, amazing location and a brilliant balcony with outstanding views! Will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful break!
What a perfect property. Location perfect roof terrace out of this world thought we had stayed in the best last year but I was wrong

Excellent flat in most stunning location in town
The flat is superbly located right in the centre of town with a stunning view from its own private roof terrace over the swing bridge across the river.
The flat itself is very well equipped with everything you could need for a single night's stay or a whole week or longer.
I will be very happy to return in the future when in Whitby.

…. All the stairs are worth it for the fabulous view from the terrace . Wonderful to sit and watch the world go by in more or less total privacy - apart from the seagulls!
The flat is in a great location right in the centre of Whitby and an easy stroll to the lovely shops around Church Street and our favourite pub, the Black Horse. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and was very clean and tidy on arrival. Comfy beds, very comfy sofa and great people watching spot from the dining table. We even managed without Wi-fi for a week 🙂 Check in was simple and communications with the owner great.
Looking forward to a return visit.
This rental is all about location. It is in the heart of the town with a great roof terrace overlooking the town and estuary. Be aware there are 34 steps to the apartment (another 14 to the master bedroom) a bit onerous when unloading but worth it when you get there! However, parking is a nightmare!! It took 1 3/4 hours to find a space on arrival and we never did find a space in the ‘free’ road side parking. Hence we had to feed the meter every morning £9 a day! That was outside school holidays.
The lookout was ideal due to the large roof terrace and the Weather being kind to us.
The views from the terrace were amazing. Watching the boats and yachts going by and the swing bridge operating.
A very interesting place to stay, we loved it so much we booked an extra night which was done easily via home away by contacting the owner.
The apartment is very well equipped and has original arts and crafts feel.
Convenient for all our food needs as numerous restaurants and take aways are nearby.
I even had a 3 hr boat fishing trip on “Libby” and took some good cod home!
We’ll be back!😎
our third stay at the property fantastic all round. One down side we were informed that the tv wasn't working ,which we were told would be fixed asp,on checking the visitors book we found the tv hadn't been working properly since the 19 july and between the 21 and 30 of july a man came and couldnt fix tv but got the dvd player working our visit started on the 21 august hardly ASP that was only down side to our visit

Wonderful location
We have visited Whitby on many occasions and whilst we therefore knew what to expect of the town and surroundings, we were taken aback by the flat, in particular the amazing location and therefore, the view from the terrace. I can only imagine how great a summer's evening on the roof would be - hopefully we will find out soon from another visit! Lovely flat, deceptively spacious, and surprisingly easy to stop outside to drop everything off. I guess the only downsides would be the parking (but this is Whitby after all!) and for some the 2/3 steep flights of stairs may be an issue so don't consider it you have problems with mobility, but otherwise, I couldn't recommend it higher.
