"A beautiful, isolated, quiet location with lots of room. We stayed two nights and enjoyed them both. We didn’t do much cooking, but everything was there. Beds were comfortable. The place was clean. The hosts were very pleasant and diligent at making sure we were comfortable. There were three of us in Kauri lodge, but could handle a larger family easily. "

"The room was nothing like the photos, there were large stains on the floor. It wasn’t the cleanest. On the photos the carpet was newer and there was an aircon on the wall which seems to have been placed there for the photos. No smoke alarm and the tv had no channels. "

"Reviewing for a group of 3. We stayed in the family room for 1 night while visiting the nearby glow worm caves. We had a great stay. Only about 10 minutes from the caves. The property is situated on a hill, and the patio right outside our room had spectacular views of the surrounding region/mountains. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet at night. Bathroom was spacious as well. Small kitchenette had a few items as well including electric kettle, tea, coffee. Complementary breakfast was continental and definitely a plus; had everything we needed for a long day. Was nice to meet the owner Trevor as well as his dogs who can be seen around the property. Would stay here again. "
