"From walking into the Villa, we felt home. A fire was heating the whole house, and everything was just absolutely perfect. All amenities have been provided, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast and basics to cook your own meals. This is really a true gem in the heart of Taranaki and we will surely be back. Thank you, Amanda, for your hospitality and taking so much pride and care to make our stay memorable. Very highly recommended!!"

"The accommodation was as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. Wood fire kept the house cozy. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake."

"It's an old shop so it's a bit worn, but it has more than everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good fireplace and lots of firewood, books, magazines, games. Breakfast provisions laid on which was unexpected but very convenient. Good shower. Less than a 1 minute walk to the pub for meals."

"I would like to thank the hosts for renting such a lovely property to us. We even had a cat come to visit and stay the night. The views are out standing and i will return for sure. It was a ten out of ten weekend away. Thanks Craig"

"Everything was great. We were greeted, met the family, and were given fresh eggs and milk from their farm. The king bed was so comfy. The biggest draw back was the road noise. Due to hot weather we had the windows open so we heard a lot of noise from the highway."

"The owners are friendly and quick to respond. The house is cosy, and our whole family enjoyed our stay. We really liked the comforts of home, including the TV, and also really appreciated using the kayaks and fishing rods. My sons were fishing most of the time! Just a couple of little things we have for suggestion: the beds were not made, however, we had access to linen to make them up ourselves. It was useful having the washing machine and dryer, however maybe the dryer needs to be moved outside, or a vent put in so it doesn't make the house feel damp. Overall, I recommend this bach - great spot!"
