"We were looking for an ‘Old Hawaiian’ style vacation…. And we found it! The house is big and beautiful. 45 second walk to an amazing beach! Although there r a couple other homes in this old neighborhood, it feels like a private oasis. A coffee shop is within walking distance of desired. Hanalei is a 10-15 min drive on cute old roads with single lane bridges…. Hawaii at its best. The host Brian was super responsive, helpful and committed to providing the best experience for us. "

"If you are looking to relax, this is the place. Beautiful view & sound of the ocean. The massage at the spa on premises is life changing. There is also a coffee shop & a restaurant so there is no need to leave this oasis in paradise. "

"Your home was beautiful and perfectly placed. I can't thank you enough for allowing us the privilege of staying there. The home itself was stunning. We did express some concerns to the property manager and while he immediately got back with us, he failed to remedy any issues brought to his attention. Lack of window coverings in the 3rd upstairs bedroom, blinds that would not allow us to open and close them/lower or raise without such a struggle that we were afraid to break them. T.V. that was not opperable in 3rd bedroom upstairs, T.V. in main living quarters had a blue line through the center, doors that would not close or could notbe locked, plantain shudders in 1 master bath that were held together with zip ties and could not be opened, shower head in master bath had a makeshift showerhead holder that made it a constant challenge to get directional accuracy for 6'4" adult and 5'6" adult. (water shot straight out at one height adjustment or the other) Difficulty getting range to light due to igniter needing to be changed for burners, lawn chairs rusted out and daughter with back injury had issue after sitting on one that collapsed. Providing you this list is more for your records so that the issues can be addressed. This home is exquisite and desires the needed attention to keep it in top condition. Knowing that many of these are related to climate, I hope that issues will be addressed so that the home itself gets the attention that it deserves. Mahalo"

"The perfect Hawaii get away!"

"This beautiful home on the north shore of Kauai is stunning! When you walk in, you can literally see the waves crashing on the shore. The louvered windows keep the tropical breeze flowing through the house, while keeping the bugs out. Plus there are plenty of ceiling and floor fans to boost the breeze when necessary. The water pressure is great. The kitchen is perfectly appointed with necessities like foil and sandwich baggies. The master bedroom bed is close enough to the ocean that you will fall asleep to the sound of the waves. We came away so well rested. We've stayed in Haena probably 8 times over the years, and you can't beat it for fulfilling your rural, private tropical fantasies. We spent a few days just sitting right outside the backyard on the beach and watching the waves and the turtles. The beach is swimmable very close to shore at this time of year. But be cautious because it can get very choppy. The walk to Tunnels - around the point - is a 15-minute walk. We timed it. It is less breezy there with a nicely protected cove for snorkeling. The walk is challenging with the deep, brown sugar sand -- but well worth the effort. We would stay here again many times over! We loved it! I'd recommend to the owners to update the front door lock. It is electronic but took sometimes 5-8 tries to get it to open. It's a little tricky."
