"If you're a all creatures great and small fan, it's perfect, as you walk in you actually walk into the "drovers". If you're not a fan it will take you back it's an unchanged farmers country pub, but don't let that deter you, the rooms are stunningly clean, the staff friendly and very attentive."

"The hotel is in a lovely location and many of the rooms have a view of the river, which was lovely. However, reception advised us not to open windows as flies come in, which was a shame. However, luckily there was a fan in the room as it was quite warm. The hotel was spotlessly clean but you can tell its an old building. They had quite an old TV in the room and not many Freeview channels but everything else was great, especially having a car park on site. We didn't eat or go to the bar so can't comment on those but would stay here again."

"This is a nice stay for a short trip in Lancaster. The area has parking food, shops and restaurants. Easily accessible by metro and buses. The hotel itself has no amenities but the rooms are comfortable. There is a Witherspoon pub right downstairs can be a bit noisy but it’s a college town it should be expected."

"Lodge was great with a really lovely view and very comfy beds. Kitchen looked a bit tired with chipped worktops and it would be useful to have some drawers in the built in wardrobe areas for smaller items that don't need hanging. restaurant had good selection and food was good. Pool area, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were good."
