We had a lovely stay over the Christmas holiday, the only problem I had was that the bathroom was a bit in the small size, you have to straddle the toilet to close the door, apart from that it was nice, nice quiet location

A lovely cosy cottage with plenty of equipment, in a wonderful location. The beds were comfy and the shower very nice.
Parking was usually fine (it's opposite the cottage in a layby), but we had 1 night where we couldn't park on the lane and had to park on a nearby road. This was fine for us but would have been a problem if we'd have been packing the car to go home.
It wouldn't stop us from returning though.

Lovely cottage everything you need.
Lovely cottage everything you need. Great location for shops and dog walking. Only minus was a courtyard to let dogs in.
Nicely located small cottage in the east quay area a short walk from the centre of town and moments from the sea front. The coastal path is easily accessible in both directions and there are regular buses if you prefer to leave the car behind.
Small parking space which was fine for us but you’d struggle with a large estate car. This is also the outdoor seating area so you either have a parking space or an outdoor seating area.
Jolly Sailor yard is also not suitable for vehicles wider than 6”6’.
The cottage is very sweet but smaller than it appears in the pictures. The shower is lovely and hot and the beds comfortable but there are two singles not a double. There is a lot of unnecessary stuff cluttering the place a bit and the television is quite small.....but who goes on holiday to watch telly!
There was building work underway a couple of doors down while we were there and the road was closed from one end. Not really an issue but some days it was noisy and they started quite early. Having said that I would return as Wells is so beautiful and this cottage had everything we needed.

Very attractive small cottage; perfectly adequate for 2 adults.
Very attractive small cottage; perfectly adequate for 2 adults. Earlier reviews have mentioned that the bathroom was small.... it is, but how long do you spend in there? The shower was very good.
The kitchen area was well equipped; my only criticism would be that the cupboards were full of crockery and glasses..... do you really need 8 of everything for 2 people?
Also criticised was the small TV.... it is adequate and worked well enough and a cimema screen would be very out of place.
There is a parking space; a valuable asset in Wells next sea and we had no problem at all getting our fairly wide SUV in and out.
An outside 'sitting area' was advertised; we assume this is the bench outside the front door which looks out straight onto the car parking space, but as the Quay is only a few yards away (with lots of benches) it was no problem to walk down there with glasses and a bottle.
All in all, a very good rental cottage.... no problems!
PS It was an unanticipated bonus to find that Wi Fi was available.

Enjoyed our second stay at this lovely little cottage.
Enjoyed our second stay at this lovely little cottage. Our only disappointment was the beautiful view from the bedroom window we had last year of the sea and sailing boats has been replaced by a monstrosity of a house being built at the bottom of the lane. Although everything about this place is wonderful, it was really disappointing not to be able to enjoy the view we had relished in previously.

It should be noted that parking is tricky and could be very difficult with a large car. Also the shower room is very small and could prove a problem for larger people. Other than that it was a lovely little cottage in a brilliant location.

This cottage looks a lot bigger in the photograph.
This cottage looks a lot bigger in the photograph.
It's actually tiny, but very very cosy.
I wouldn't hesitate to book this place again if returning to Wells.
The location is fantastic ... 50 yards from the Quay road. 300 yards from the Golden Fleece pub, at the corner of Staithe Street, which we used quite a bit.
There's an excellent butchers and bakers on Staithe Street, run by the same family.
The cottage sits back off the Quay, so it's very quiet at night. You can't hear any traffic at all to disturb your sleep.
The single beds were very comfy.
The shower is powerful, which is always nice when staying away from home.
I only have 1 criticism and that is, that the TV was too small. TV's are dirt cheap these days, so it wouldn't hurt to invest in a larger one.
If you like cider, the Whin Hill cider place along the quay does some of the finest dry sparkling cider I've ever had.
Would return here for sure.

Cottage beautiful, but could have done with some clearing out.

Cosy, clean cottage.
Cosy, clean cottage. We did lots of walking along the coastal paths in both directions. Alpaca trek around the town was lovely too. The Golden Fleece, the local chip shop in Wells and the Victoria at holkham were great.

Lovely little cottage.
Lovely little cottage. Perfect for two plus one dog. Parking was fine, we parked our jeep on the space outside the cottage, off the road. No issues parking. Excellent location for walks to Holkham Beach and the shops and cafes. Nice and warm, with a real wood fire. Quiet location, but near all amenities too. Very clean. Twin beds comfy and the shower was excellent. The TV worked fine and nice to have a radio too. Our dog was quite happy sleeping downstairs on her own dog bed, which we brought with us. Plenty of crockery. Would be nice to have a cafeteria, but we had coffees out at cafes in town. Felt safe and secure. Would definitely recommend this pretty cottage. We enjoyed our romantic mini break.
